Full-size papercraft Travis Touchdown by Instructables user ddi7i4d. Not only did the papercraft artist design, cut, fold, and glue a 1.86 meter paper model of the protagonist from No More Heroes, he did so based on a 3D model he created himself. I don’t know why he didn’t just rip one from the game, but then I’m a little foggy on why he took it upon himself to make this giant papercraft in the first place!
As for why he posted a detailed Instructable about its creation, with all the necessary files to create your own, the guide is an entry in a contest through which the site is giving away a laser cutter. That’s sort of like a beam katana! A stationary beam katana that could probably still kill a guy.
Flying Kirby papercraft. This piece from papercraft machinist ddi7i4d (responsible for the two animated Mario models) depicts the puffball in mid-flight, using a crank to control Kirby’s flapping arms. If, for some reason, you want to build it without the awesome interactivity, Nintendo Papercraft also offers a “Kirby only” version that doesn’t include the mechanism.
