Oh my god, this Denpa Men video… I hope these guys end up having super successful acting careers, making up for having to wear these outfits in a commercial.
The Denpa Men: They Came By Wave’s demo is out on eShop today — judging by its official site, Genius Sonority has spent a considerable amount of money to promote this game, but I worry that the amount of people who’ve heard about the quirky title is still small.
Nigoro’s La-Mulana is also finally out on WiiWare in North America, too, so don’t forget to grab that either!

The “Denpa” Men: They Came by Wave is the new mostly English title of Genius Sonority’s eShop RPG Denpa Ningen no RPG. It’ll be released on eShop in North America on September 27, for $7.99.
The premise:
Radio waves are all around you.
However, what you might not know is that, at any and all times, mysterious little creatures float around near these waves.
They’re called “Denpa” Men. You can’t see them normally, but you can find them and catch them with your Nintendo 3DS.

Siliconera reports that Denpa Ningen RPG, the 3DS eShop game by Genius Sonority, will be released in English. If you don’t remember the augmented reality RPG from its Japanese release, it’s super cute:
Basically, you recruit little colorfully dressed characters from around your real environment, and then use them in turn-based battles.
I’m glad this game is coming out here, not just because I want to play it, but because I wanted an excuse to post this page of adorable Twitter avatars.

Denpa Ningen, a new RPG by developer Genius Sonority for the 3DS eShop. This is sort of like… AR Elebits + Pikmin or something: you capture “electric wave people” in the ambient atmosphere, all of which have different attributes, and then send them into dungeons to fight enemies and find treasure. Here’s a clip of a battle:
More clips are available at the game’s YouTube channel. Genius Sonority was formed to create Pokemon console games; since then, it has helped out on Dragon Quest spinoffs and Disney Fairies: Tinkerbell as well. This is its first original IP, unless you count 100 Classic Book Collection, which I don’t! It will be released Feb. 8 in Japan, for 800 yen ($10ish).
