You can import one for only $21.99 from Asia, which is way cheaper than the limited edition DQM system we posted this morning. That bundle is 20 times more expensive than this accessory. So god damn jelly: limited edition Dragon Quest Monsters 3DS unboxing. Will there ever be a finer looking 3DS? Probably not, what with Nintendo replacing this model with the new 3DS Pro next week, am I right?

You’ll notice in the clip’s second half that, like all big 3DS releases in Japan, the packaging for Dragon Quest Monsters: Terry’s Wonderland 3D features inside cover art for the eco-friendly box. Why hasn’t anyone created a site hosting scans of all these to print out yet?

Anyway, you can still import one of these bundles from Play-Asia for an insane $449.90. My birthday is coming up in a month, guys. Might as well buy my gift now while it’s on your mind, before you forget.

A Mii avatar in Dragon Quest Monsters: Terry’s Wonderland 3D. Is this the first time a Dragon Quest protagonist hasn’t been rendered Akira Toriyama style? Sure, this isn’t exactly a “designed” protagonist, but it’s still an interesting break from tradition.

You’ll be able to fight both online and via StreetPass. And by “you” I mean “people in Japan,” of course. Here’s some pretty awesome motivation to beat your opponents:

Dragon Warrior Monsters remake coming»

Square Enix revealed that the first Dragon Quest Monsters game, known as Dragon Warrior Monsters when it released for the Game Boy Color in North America U.S. 10 years ago, will receive a 3DS remake next year.

Titled Dragon Quest Monsters: Terry’s Wonderland 3D, the game will reportedly feature all of the monsters from DQM: Joker 2 Professional, a lineup of new monsters, new stories, and more. I expect the original’s 8-bit graphics will see a significant overhaul, too.

It’s strange timing for the announcement since Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 2 releases in the U.S. today!

Dragon Quest Monsters Joker 2 trailer. Man, this game has some big old monsters in it!

The “Strength in Monsters” tagline isn’t as memorable an advertising strategy as Seth Green, but it’s also not as shrill as Jedward.

Dragon Quest Monster Gallery HD4. You may remember the last Dragon Quest Monster Gallery from that time you won one from us! This set of blind-boxed PVC figurines may not have the experience-rich Metal King Slime, but there are plenty of slimes, even with other monsters!

There are 12 figures in the set including color variations. Hobby Search is selling boxes of 9 randomly assorted figures for a sale price of $55.39.
