Dragon Quest VII’s live action commercials are… in Spanish?

Yeah, I don’t understand why either, but I love that Square Enix continues to make these live action spots for the series. In Japan at least. Other territories get Seth Green and Jedward. Oh man, remember how hard I burned Jedward that one time?

Dragon Quest VII 3DS commercials

Man, this looks rad. After Ni no Kuni, which I kinda wanted to be Ghibli Dragon Quest but isn’t (it’s not a bad game, just not what I wanted right now), I’m in the mood for some Real Dragon Quest.

The 3DS remake, by the way, hits Japan this week — we’re still waiting on an announcement for the West.

This looks really great! The new polygonal graphics are cute and smooth, a definite upgrade from the PS1 sprites. Now, I just need a localized version, and I’m willing to put aside my not-entirely-irrational fear of this giant game.

Dragon Quest VII coming to Nintendo 3DS, according to this purported scan from Jump’s latest issue. This remake of the 2000 PlayStation game hits Japan in February.

Maybe one day this, Slime Mori Mori Dragon Quest 3, or Dragon Quest Monsters: Terry’s Wonderland 3D will release in the West. :o/
