Some of these environments look wayyyy bland. Come on, TOSE (assuming they’re the developer), you can do better than this. At least the blue hedgehog/mole guys are cute.

I saw from the reactions on Twitter that other people are as in love with the Slime mugs as I am. So here’s a PSA: J-List is taking pre-orders on them now. The Slime, Slime King, and Slime Knight mugs are on the site, for $24 each, shipping in March.
No sign of the Slime Stack or Liquid Metal Slime yet, but those are due to ship later in Japan anyway.

Meat Bun’s new “Cute ‘em Up” t-shirt line, featuring shirts by artists including Mariel Cartwright, Zac Gorman, Paul Robertson, and Ashley Davis, each in multiple color schemes. I’d love to meet the person brave enough to rock that Slime shirt! I know the person brave enough to rock pretty much all the other ones (meeeee).

Metal Slime ship in Slime Morimori Dragon Quest 3. You’ll encounter these ships occasionally on your travels, only to discover that they behave just like the land-based Metal Slimes, beating a hasty, and nautical, retreat.
With luck and (more likely) patience, you can collect all the parts and build your own Metal Slime ship. Or you can wait for the inevitable toy version, if you would rather have one out of the game.

Fortune Street (Wii) boxart. I’m really excited about this game! I love stuff with Slimes in it, and I love Top Shop, so this is going to be the first party-style Mario game I pay attention to.
This boxart includes maybe the most obscure character ever to show up on a Mario game box: Kid Yangus from the Japan-only Kid Yangus and the Mysterious Dungeon. He was in the last DS game, so he just kind of got pulled into this Wii game, and thus right along into the American version. He’s just chilling with Stella, a Healslime, and lots of other people you just don’t expect to see on your Mario game box. I heard that your prize when you win a game is an exclusive Jedward video*!
