Real human being, and a real chiptune cover

Gundersonmunderson created the graphics, animation, and music for this fun video. He emulated the Sega Genesis’ Yamaha YM2612 chip for this arrangement of College & Electric Youth’s "A Real Hero," which you should remember from the soundtrack for Drive.

♫ I don’t eat, I don’t sleep, I do nothing but think of you ♫
Sadly there’s no chiptune version I can find for this song from the Drive soundtrack. But there is this amazing, amazing arrangement of Kavinsky’s “Nightcall”, produced in an alternate dimension where an NES game based on the film actually existed, a parallel reality without the heartbreaks of this flawed world — where your pets lived forever, your parents found a way to make it work, and she’s still there.

Oh God, this chiptune cover of “Nightcall,” a.k.a. that song you heard during the beginning of Drive, immediately downloaded to your iPhone, and now listen to whenever you want to roll around your neighborhood with the windows down feeling like a badass.

This chip rendition of Kavinsky’s track comes from Scattle, who produces covers like this on the reg — you can sample his Soundcloud uploads here. Who’s going to step up and give the same treatment to the rest of Drive's soundtrack?
