DS/3DS Release Dates & Sales // Tiny Cartridge Stickers For Your Games!

What’s that cartridge peeking out of that DS? (click for a larger image). Why, it’s Kissing Party, one of four designs from our $5 sticker pack for DS/3DS games!

Tiny Cartridge reader Phillis took this shot after replacing the “lame” label on her M3i flashcart, and I’m sure her life is now a million times better thanks to that decision.

With Valentine’s Day coming up, don’t you want to make sure you get a hold of Kissing Party (and other rad cartridge art from Mare Odomo) for yourself/your lover? Send us non-butt photos of your games if you do!

Dress your DS games in Tiny Cartridge X Mare Odomo stickers! →

I’m unable to control my excitement about getting to reveal the culmination of literally years of secret work: our Tiny Cartridge X Maré Odomo “Tiny Cart Sticker Pack,” produced and sold by Fangamer

With these, you can decorate your DS or 3DS cartridges (or, anything, really) with the face of our mascot or the cover of an imaginary game by Maré!

Each sheet includes:

  • Face in a Cart - Tiny Cartridge’s iconic mascot, now available as a for-real tiny cartridge
  • Letters to an Absent Father - A tender note from Maré Odomo’s wistful comic series
  • (Creepy) Black - Own the haunted game, the creepiest of pastas
  • Kissing Party - Give your lips practice with casual pecks or passionate make-out moments
  • A special (virtual) gift!

This is basically my favorite thing we’ve ever done, and you can get your own sheet for $5. I hope you enjoy them! Thanks to Fangamer and Maré for working with us on this weird daydream of a project, and thanks to you for even briefly considering a purchase!

Star Fighter shirt by Hector Mansilla Gonzalez (click for larger images), now for sale at Fangamer for $22.

Inspired by the Star Fox games, this design is meant to be “a tribute to the lasers, polygons, and Nova Bombs that lit every kid’s imagination.” Each order you put in for the tee will come with a 1” Nova Bomb pin that “you may want to save … for just the right moment”.

Buy: Star Fox 64 3D

“Dual Link” shirt by Fangamer. This tee is similar conceptually to the Zelda playing card designs done by Nelde, but features a Link/Dark Link design. There’s no information about when this will be available yet; this design was posted on Facebook by Forward Printing as a teaser, I guess.

I know this is an Ocarina-themed design, but I’m just going to pretend it’s based on the Dark Link from Zelda 2.

Buy: The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D ($30.98)

Planning to buy some swag from Fangamer in the near future? Fortuitously clutching some extra money in your non-mouse hand? Through tomorrow, the site is offering free shipping on everything, and coupon codes ranging from 5-20%, depending on how crazy your expenditure is.

It… might be time for you to buy one of those Cory Schmitz-designed Zelda shirts, or some Retro City Rampage stuff! Even if you’re not shopping, the sale page is worth checking out for artwork of famous game characters as stereotypical hipsters, by the reliably wonderful Ashley Davis.

♡♪!? (a.k.a. Geno) figurine from Fangamer, one of several new items introduced at the gaming merchandise shop as it kicks off the Super Mario RPG Fanfest.

Crafted by Camille Young, the 4”, hand-painted figure features a laser cut/etched cape, four poseable joints, and a wind-up key. Fangamer is only selling 150 of these, each numbered and signed. And if a star being ever stops by your home, he’ll probably possess your doll to recover pieces of Star Road scattered around the world.

Buy: Super Mario RPG (SNES and Virtual Console)

Redesigned E-Mug available for pre-order →

Did you want one of Fangamer’s awesome Mega Man-themed E-Mugs, but missed out on the first production run? If you’re me, you did! I’ll be delighted to know, then, that the company is taking pre-orders on a second run, with some changes in place.

“The new and improved E-Mugs now feature clean, smooth interior walls and a slightly thinner lip for easier drinking,” says Fangamer’s Ryan Alyea. “They’re also a little heavier (roughly 1.25 lbs!) so we’ve redesigned the packaging to make up for the difference and cut down on excess material.”

This latest batch will ship in June for $32, hopefully in time for you to keep refilling it with coffee as you refresh Tiny Cartridge for E3 newz.

E-mug and “Visor” shirt, both shipping in mid-December from our pals at Fangamer (yeah, more Fangamer stuff! It’s two posts’ worth!) It seems like this shop is doing everything just for me, even when it isn’t giving us contest prizes or surprising us with buttons made to look like our mascot. That E-mug is a great way to drink out of something E-Tank-like without subjecting yourself to an energy drink.

The shop also has other new items shipping in December, including an Awesome Video Games DVD, a lovely “Skyline Poster”, and a Shark Punk figurine! Now I feel bad for linking to all those Black Friday deals (and for probably linking to more later), because there’s a lot of very desirable stuff here and we’re all broke.

“Wisdom, Courage, Power” t-shirt by Cory Schmitz, now on sale at Attract Mode and Fangamer for $22.

There’s also a Stone/Heather Grey version, but since the name of this shirt reminds me of The Lox’s “Money, Power, & Respect” (probably because I saw Sheek Louch a few weeks ago), I have to suggest you snatch up this Gold/Black edition. Whichever one you decide to get, you’ll receive a complementary Triforce pin with it!

Here are both of the designs/styles up close:

If this gets you in the mood to buy more shirts, Meat Bun is selling most of its tees for half the price today — this doesn’t include the awesome “Osu! Giant Robot” design, but they have a lot of other great items you’ll want.

UPDATE: Now the “Osu!” design is on sale too! $18!

Buy: The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks ($18!)

Fangamer's Earthbound Fanfest begins →

Ness nerds, Lucas lovers, and Ninten-thusiasts: The awesome merch company Fangamer is hosting a two-month-long “Earthbound Fanfest,” during which fans are invited to play Earthbound on SNES along with live video footage of Fangamer staff playing. Meanwhile, themed fanart/fanfic contests are being held, with Fangamer EB swag as prizes.

Maybe this is just the push you need to start playing an old SNES game again instead of all that new stuff coming out! Save all those games for their own fan events in 15 years.

And while you’re there, Buy: Fangamer products

Box of collectible Dragon Quest figures. We’re giving away a grip of these toys to our “Birthday Contest of Forever” winners. I was tempted to check if any of these packages contained a Metal Slime that I could keep for myself, but opening the boxes kind of ruins them, which would be a dick move for real. So, no Metal Slime for me!

For those wondering when we’ll announce the winners, well, JC has been busy in Tokyo for the past couple of weeks, so we haven’t had time to discuss our favorites. I can tell you there are more awesome entries than we have prizes to give out, unfortunately — we didn’t expect people to appreciate our site as much as they apparently do.

We intend to start revealing the winners early this week, but instead of announcing them all at once, we’re going to torture you by featuring one exceptional submission at a time. That way, we can give our contestants’ work the attention they deserve, which they wouldn’t get if we crammed them into a single gallery post.

Long live Tiny! (and Dragon Quest toys!)
