Final Fantasy VII Advent Children Aroma Candles. Perhaps you thought that buying a cologne to make yourself smell like (Square Enix’s idea of a scent representing) Cloud or Sephiroth was stupid. Maybe you don’t feel the same way about making your house smell of brooding soldiers with elaborate hair?

NCSX has the RPVs (Role-Playing Votives) available for $28.90 each. The candles burn for about 50 hours, regardless of how many sidequests you do.

Famicom carts for World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade, King of Fighters Collection: The Orochi Saga, Zelda 3: The Tri-Force of the Gods, and Final Fantasy 7: Advent Children . In case it’s not immediately obvious, these are unauthorized Famicom games from China!

Collector Trenton_net is selling a bunch of these carts — including Famicom versions of Chrono Trigger, Golden Sun, and EverQuest — for $15 each (with box/manual).

So, how do these modern games play when they’re adapted for an 8-bit system? Well, KOF Collection is an RPG with turn-based combat, Advent Children looks a lot like Final Fantasy V, and The Burning Crusade ditches its online and multiplayer capabilities in favor of a Phantasy Star setup:

And this is what Zelda 3 looks like (the music isn’t bad!):

“Proud,” “Berret” and “Bincent” fighting with toilet paper roll limit meters.

I’m a huge fan of “guro” illustrator Shintaro Kago, though given both the salacious and gruesome nature of his work, I never thought in a million years that he’d ever be featured here at Tiny Cartridge. But lo and behold, the comic above, which is part of his toilet paper roll dispenser series. Even crazier is the fact that the whole series is totally SFW! Trust me, the vast majority of his stuff is as far from safe as can be.

It’s also rare for Kago to reference video games. The only other example that I personally know of can be seen in Blow Up (NSFW, per his usual standards), one of his more famous comics. It plays around with the medium’s format, something that helped to put him on the map initially (at least here in the States). The following is from very late in the story, and I hate to be a spoiler, but am going to do so anyway because 1) even by itself, it’s visually compelling 2) the story doesn’t even really matter in this particular comic’s instance 3) it too is SFW! Amazon discounts Square Enix acronyms: TWEWY, FFIV, & CC:FFVII →

Most of the Neku Sakuraba cosplay I’ve seen is god awful, but the fancy photography accompanying this one makes this getup look slick. Anyway, Amazon has discounted several portable Square Enix RPGs, which you may want to pick up if you didn’t already buy them when we featured them dozens of times before:

  • The World Ends With You: $9.78
  • Final Fantasy IV: $9.78
  • Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII: $9.78

The sale ends today, so grab’em soon!

Scribblenaut-ized Street Fighter 2 cast by Edison Yan. I love E. Honda’s expression. And Blanka is all “Mraw!”

Some of you will recognize Yan, one of the artists at Scribblenauts developer 5th Cell, as the same talented bloke that brought NeoGAF’s Post #217 scene to life.

He didn’t stop at just SFII’s crew, drawing 18 more fighters to present SFIII’s entire lineup, in Scribblenauts form (click for a larger version):

He sketched Final Fantasy VII’s troupe, too (Aeris dies):
