I doubt anyone but me cares about this, but Yuji Oshimoto, who worked on PiCTOBiTS’ art direction (and helped design Tingle RPG as well), is also the man behind famous bitmap typeface set 04. You can download 04 and his other fonts for free at Oshimoto’s site linked above. He also has several interactive bits worth playing with there.
If you own a DSi but still haven’t bought PiCTOBiTS, you really should! It’d be a great way to end Tetris’ 25th anniversary, playing this excellent puzzle descendant.

The typeface Atlus used for most of the first-person RPG’s text has scrunched up Ms and Ws — again, it’s a minor annoyance.
Gukid cared enough about it, though, to hack a fix that replaces the Ms, Ws, and punctuation. As usual, you’ll need a copy of The Dark Spire’s ROM to apply the patch, one that we advise you to acquire through legal methods.
It’s interesting to see someone clean up these issues, however trivial they might seem to others . Apparently, there are several other DS games wiith the same problem:
Buy: The Dark Spire ($27.99)

NFG’s new site allows you to generate text in any of 60 authentic arcade fonts. This one is Wonder Boy! You just select a font, type the text into a form, and hit the ‘font me’ button!
I was going to do the whole post in Wonder Boy, but you can’t add line breaks, and it would have taken me forever to do the text as an image one line at a time. OH WELL.
