You ever get caught up in those moments when you’re talking to dudes with bustling social lives, and you find yourself just straight-up lying about your friend situation, claiming acquaintances as best mates, or inventing free-spirited chums that you think will impress others?
And you keep talking, and inside you’re thinking, “Oh my god, what are these words coming out of my mouth hole? Why did I say that? I hope he doesn’t ever meet these names I’m dropping, or try to look them up on Wikipedia or whatever, because these are wacky mythological tales. This is some Poseidon and Xena warrior princess shit right here. This is Percy Jackson and the Olympians. There is no way he believes that my best friend is half-man, half-goat, and that we are on an epic quest to recover Zeus’ stolen lightning bolt. Who even makes things like this up?”
Yeah, that never happens to me, either.

For those of you whose StreetPass logs are depressingly empty, and who have never had the chance to try Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition’s Figurine Mode, Nintendo is trying to facilitate your meeting-up and exchange of data (and maybe friendship or whatever, I guess).
The company started a page for StreetPass-focused Meetups, all planned to take place on June 25. There are currently 429 Meetups planned that day, all around the world — oh, hey, including one in Austin! With… 2 people planning to attend. It’s still early, I guess.
Anyway! It’s unfortunate that there isn’t enough 3DS saturation for StreetPass to happen naturally more often, but if you have a 3DS, you should totally go to one of these and enjoy the thrill of the blinky green light.
