JC has already played a little of this, and he tells me the game is amazing. We won’t have to wait for long to find out if he’s a liar — Runner2 releases on Wii U’s eShop and Steam tomorrow! You can preview the game’s music, download its soundtrack, and put in a preorder for the PC version right here.

Chasing Aurora, a beautiful looking indie game coming to Wii U’s eShop late this year from Austrian developer Broken Rules (And Yet It Moves). I’m down for this.
Gaijin Games just announced that Bit.Trip Presents: Runner 2, Future Legend of Rhythm Alien is coming to Wii U too, also likely through eShop! See, guys, it’s not such a bad system after all.

Gaijin Games’ brainstorming session for Runner 2, its new Bit.Trip Runner follow-up! … for XBLA and PSN.
I hope you’ve got an Xbox 360 or PS3 because Bit Trip Presents: Runner 2, Future Legend of Rhythm Alien expands on the original awesome game with HD graphics, 10+ new abilities for Commander Video (and other playable characters), unlockable outfits, difficulty modes and checkpoints, and more. Hopefully Anamanaguchi will make a return on the soundtrack, too?
You can follow Runner 2’s development and see its concept art (very different style from the Bit.Trip series!) here.

Holy crap, Bit.Trip fans are crazy talented! When we launched ou fanart contest earlier this month, we never expected to receive as many entries as we did — all of them capturing our amusement and the spirit of Commander Video simultaneously (like the awesome one by 2D animator Jack Sabbath above).
We really wish we could have given prizes to all of you to thank you for putting so much effort into your tributes, but since our wallets are filled with more moths than legal tender, we’re only able to select three.
We do want to share all of the pieces we received, though, because, seriously, you guys blew our minds with some of these. See them all after the break!:

This is one of the two grand prize-winning entries from our Bit.Trip fanart contest. We’ll share the other entry by Paul T., a special runner-up piece by Alex D., and all the other rad-as-hell submissions later on in the week.
Thanks to everyone who entered! Even if you didn’t win, Bit.Trip Saga (3DS) and Bit.Trip Complete (Wii) are both now out, so you can buy them and get a free soundtrack CD with every copy of Complete. Finding them in stores is difficult right now, which is all the more reason to get yourself a rare copy!

“I think it’s total crap. I’m very frustrated as a consumer. It seems obvious to me that it’s only a matter of time until Nintendo releases a new 3DS with a second Circle Pad on it, and then what am I going to do? I’m going to give them more of my money. Like I always do.
Also, as a developer, it’s a bummer whenever first parties come out with something like this. Whether it’s the Expansion Slide Pad, Wii Motion Plus, PlayStation Move, or Kinect, developers have a hard decision to make about whether they want to support the new features of the hardware.”
Gaijin Games’ Alexis Neuse on the 3DS Expansion Slide Pad — an excerpt from our larger interview on the release of Bit.Trip Saga (3DS) and Complete (Wii) this week.
Lots of Expansion Slide Pad stuff lately!:

Bit.Trip Complete and Bit.Trip Saga, the Wii and 3DS compilations of Gaijin Games’ rhythm/action WiiWare series, both release this week! (Our fanart contest ends tonight, too, so get your submissions in!)
We talked with Gaijin CEO and creative director Alex Neuse about the two anthologies and covered a bunch of topics that CommanderVideo fans will eat up: Bit.Trip’s past and future, details on Saga’s new control schemes, thoughts on the 3DS Expansion Slide Pad, and advice on which version you should buy — all after the break:
[Sponsored] Bit.Trip Complete’s ‘Evil, Evil Challenges’ trailer. Hey, that’s Gaijin Games’ Alex Neuse, and he’s previewing one of this compilation’s challenges for the first time, here on Tiny Cartridge. Eat it, buddy!
Gaijin has packed so much new and exclusive stuff into Complete — as if the six addictive rhythm-action titles weren’t enough — including 120 “galactically difficult” Challenges you won’t find anywhere else.
The studio hasn’t talked much about those Challenges yet, though, so we had Neuse demonstrate one, and give us a peek at a Challenge from each of the included games:
Excellent! Also excellent: our Bit.Trip fanart contest — we’re giving away copies of Bit.Trip Saga and Complete. It ends September 14, so send in your entries soon!

Are you convinced that you need to own a copy of Bit.Trip Complete (Wii) after seeing yesterday’s poignant trailer? Or maybe the promise of portability in the 3DS release has you committed to Bit.Trip Saga? Both versions have their advantages — if only there was a way to acquire both without spending too much cash.
Well, as usual, we have the answer to all your problems*. We have partnered with our sponsor Aksys to hold a fanart competition, and will be giving two winners copies of both Bit.Trip Saga and Complete. Details after the break!
[Sponsored] Affecting trailer for Bit.Trip Complete — the first video released for the Wii collection actually, and it’s making its debut here on our humble site!
Even though CommanderVideo’s journey ended months ago with the release of Bit.Trip Flux, it’s still difficult to believe it’s all over. Complete extends his quest a bit longer with 120 new challenges, new difficulty modes, music remixes/demos, and more. And it just got a super positive review from Nintendo Power, too.
Both Bit.Trip Complete and Bit.Trip Saga (for 3DS) contain all six games from the Bit.Trip WiiWare series, and are scheduled to release on September 13.

[Sponsored] Bit.Trip Saga teaser: All six games in 3D.
We’re less than a month away from the launch of Bit.Trip Saga — the handheld anthology collecting Bit.Trip Beat, Core, Void, Runner, Fate, and Flux, all presented with 3D stages designed to “defy spatial perception”.
Releasing on the same day, September 13, is Bit.Trip Complete (complementary teaser trailer here), a Wii Disc collection of the six WiiWare titles, adding 120 new challenges, fan remixes and original songs, 25+ movies telling CommanderVideo’s story, new difficulty modes, online leaderboards, and more.
We plan to examine many of the bits that make up Bit.Trip Saga/Complete in the coming weeks, so stay tuned for exclusive media, a contest, etc. from Aksys/Gaijin Games!

Bit.Trip Saga played on a Nintendo 3Ds at E3. Here, you can see Bit.Trip Core and Bit.Trip Void demonstrated on the handheld. They look exactly like their WiiWare counterparts, except on a smaller screen, but I suppose that’s exactly what people are hoping for.
Last week, Gaijin Games announced that it’s also releasing a Wii disc collection called Bit.Trip Complete. That version will include all six Bit.Trip titles, plus 120 new challenges and a soundtrack sampler. I wonder if we’ll see any of that extra content on the 3DS edition?
