The pink 3DS XL, last seen in a limited online-only bundle, will see wider release “soon,” as evidenced by this GameStop ad from this week (Best Buy says it hits this Sunday). GameStop calls it a “limited edition color.” The retailer, by the way, is handing out free Nintendogses and Steel Divers with purchase of any 3DS or 3DS XL right now.
Also noteworthy from the ad: Funky Barn is now available! I… actually want to play that, after hanging out in the Miiverse community.
BUY Nintendo 3DS and 3DS XL consoles
Preorder the game at GameStop and you’ll get one of these to decorate and protect your (original style) 3DS. The game will be out… man, sometime in 2013? Hopefully? Right now Gamestop says March 1, but that’s almost certainly a placeholder.

Along with the free rooster hats you get with preorders of Scribblenauts Unlimited at GameStop, you’ll get a big pencil stylus and a silicone-fitted case styled after Maxwell’s headgear when you reserve the 3DS version.

As a rule, I don’t buy collector’s editions, as I don’t usually think a big case with an artbook in it is worth the extra money and space, but GameStop is going to sell a collector’s edition of both the DS and 3DS versions of Adventure Time: Hey Ice King, Why’d You Steal Our Garbage?, and it sounds like something that might need to live inside of my house.
Here’s the list of included bonuses, according to GameStop:
Finn’s sword stylus! Land of Ooo poster! Enchiridion! The actual game! These are all things I’d like to possess.
Check out a few more screens of AT:HIKWYSOG at Nintendo 3DS Blog. I haven’t figured out where they came from yet…

Official Kid Icarus AR Card Alert: today at US GameStops from 1-4, a Kid Icarus Uprising demo event will let you check the game out and pick up some free cards. The event banner says one card, but the guy who told Joystiq about it said five, so… it’s at least one?
I’m currently trying to decide whether I’m going to go… on one hand, AR cards! On the other hand, GameStop! A crowded GameStop.

Nintendo of America hasn’t said anything about releasing 3D Classics: Kid Icarus as anything but a pre-order bonus for Uprising, but GameStop provides evidence that a standalone release is coming.
The retailer has listed the download with a $6 price tag. You can’t currently order it (there’s a confusing pairing of “Not Available” and “Available Now” messages), but the existence of the listing suggests that it’ll be available at some point. Good news for people who waited until after, say, after my review to check it out! Or for people who waited until after writing my review to buy their own copy.

Anything that helps more people discover Pushmo is a good thing — like GameStop now carrying that and one other 3DS eShop game (Super Mario Land 2).
Okay, so the selection of eShop codes at GameStop isn’t exactly comprehensive, but you can buy Pushmo with trade-ins now, and that’s neat. Also, it’s infinitely more selection than GameStop’s DSiWare offerings. There were no redeemable DSiWare codes, so it was impossible to do something like this.

More news on things costing $20! GameStop just did a pre-launch price cut on this week’s* Crush3D, from $34.99 to $19.99. Try the demo in the eShop to see if it’s worth your (reduced) outlay!
*Welllll, GameStop says it’s March 13 now…

Rumor: Xenoblade Chronicles coming to the U.S. in April, possibly as a GameStop exclusive, according to this alleged photo of the retail chain’s slate of upcoming Wii releases.
If this is true, Xenoblade would join the company of other illustrious GameStop exclusives like Chulip and Tenchu: Dark Secret. But who cares, at least we’ll be getting this!
And I definitely want it to be true, as this is the same Monolith Soft-developed game that Simon Parkin called ”the strongest JRPG to emerge in years” in his review when Xenoblade released in Europe.
Also, all those people who called The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword the Wii’s swan song would look awfully silly — serves them right for forgetting about Rhythm Heaven Fever, which will finally come out here in February (or early March, if this photo is to be trusted).
[Update: Nintendo of America just updated its Facebook page with Xenoblade artwork. Looks true!]

It’s a Black Friday miracle! GameStop’s sale circular reveals that the Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D 3DS bundle contains the special Zelda-themed 3DS announced for Europe — and not a normal Cosmo Black 3DS as previously thought!
GameStop is charging $199 for it, which I guess is a $10 savings over buying the game and the 3DS separately. But Best Buy’s going to have it for $179.99. I’m sure Amazon will have a similar price, and you won’t have to spend your entire Thanksgiving outside of a damn store with people ready to go full-on barbarian for a TV.

Boxart and preorder case for Resident Evil: Revelations, which has just been announced for a February 7, 2012 release date for the U.S. (in time for Valentine’s Day!)
“Set between the events of RE4 and RE5, the all new episodic narrative sees fan favorite characters Jill Valentine and Chris Redfield paired with new BSAA members Parker Luciani and Jessica Sherawat on their search to discover the truth about the Veltro terrorist organization and the T-Abyss virus outbreak.
Players will need to make use of the unique Nintendo 3DS touch screen to solve puzzles and switch between weapons as they try to survive the horror that awaits them around every corner. Environments will need to be scanned with the Genesis Scanner to reveal hidden items and identify enemies.”
The image on the case changes in the sunlight apparently, which I guess is kind of cool? Too bad you can only get it by reserving the 3DS title at GameStop.
