Denpa Men 3’s cozy homes ⊟

Wow, the customizable houses in Denpa Men 3 are really, really Animal Crossing-y, and I mean that in a good way. Or maybe it isn’t good, because I’m feeling that urge again.

Like, maybe I need to decorate a little house for a cute little character. Just one. Just a couple. Just a room for each Denpa Man in my party, coordinated with its costume color oh no.

Denpa Men 3 releases to the US eShop this summer (demo coming in May).

Catch Denpa Men 3 in the US this summer ⊟

The third installment of Genius Sonority’s 3DS RPG series arrives this summer. In THE ‘DENPA’ MEN 3: The Rise of Digitoll, the Denpa Men can now throw little paint ball things at you to make them harder to catch, and you can use items to help get them.

The Denpa Men also come with little houses that you can decorate, Denpa Animal Crossing style. You can battle online, and take screenshots of your little dudes with the L and R keys. These games are basically a serialized, simple RPG and I love that idea.

Before the summer release, a demo will be out in May, and you can transfer progress from that to the main game. And before that – from today through March 13 – Denpa Men 2 is on sale in North America and Europe!

Pokemon Battle Trozei trailer ⊟

I tried to watch some videos of the original Pokemon Trozei to see how this differed, but man there seemed to be a lot of modes in that game and I’m not sure any of them were what we’re seeing here.

Anyway, thanks for coming to Tiny Cartridge, where you know you can always count on well-researched articles!

Real mature, The Denpa Men 2
I’m unsure whether this lowbrow humor was intentional or — as Niko pointed out — the localization team just missed it when translating the kooky eShop JRPG. Then again, this wouldn’t be the first time Genius Sonority acted like a bunch of Denpa Boys with its jokes.

All this time, I never noticed…
One of many odd characters you can collect in The Denpa Men — which you really should download from the 3DS eShop if you’re looking for a lighthearted RPG.
Someone even picked it as their 3DS game of the year!

Meet Alicius, a white Denpa Men strong against Dark Magic and able to cast Tiny Heal. You can import this little guy into your game using the above QR code.
While I find QR codes kinda useless in real life, in the specific context of 3DS games I always find them delightfully charming. Especially when they carry Denpa Men!

Oh my god, this Denpa Men video… I hope these guys end up having super successful acting careers, making up for having to wear these outfits in a commercial.

The Denpa Men: They Came By Wave's demo is out on eShop today — judging by its official site, Genius Sonority has spent a considerable amount of money to promote this game, but I worry that the amount of people who’ve heard about the quirky title is still small.

Nigoro’s La-Mulana is also finally out on WiiWare in North America, too, so don’t forget to grab that either!
