Tiny Cartridge 3DS

These Ghost Trick iPhone cases ⊟

This is the hot look for iPhones. All the Ghost Trick characters dancing with that one nervous cop. The cat one is pretty amazing too. Man, what a game that is.

These, and many other classic Capcom designs, are on pre-order through e-Capcom. No idea if they’ll be sold outside of Japan, but NCSX tends to get some e-Capcom goods…

Incredible Ghost Trick music video ⊟

Wow! This music video by sue composites pretty much every Ghost Trick character into a series of vignettes, united by Inspector Cabanela’s smoothest moves. I just, just replayed Ghost Trick over the holidays, and loved it again, and now I want to re-replay it. What a game that is. And yeah, there’s a lot of dancing in it. Credit to Hatsuu for the link!

Sculpture of Missile, Ghost Trick's cute Pomeranian, by Leilia. This 2”x2.5” piece was crafted out of Super Sculpey polymer clay over a wire and foil armature, then painted with acrylic paints, and coated with a matte finish.
Did you hear that the Spike TV Video Game Awards nominated Ghost Trick for its Best Handheld/Mobile Game category (the show’s organizers felt it necessary to have separate categories for Individual and Team Sports games, but not so for these two different platforms)?
This excellent adventure game has tough competition, though: Super Mario 3D Land, Jetpack Joyride, and Infinity Blade — I’m unsure how the latter two iOS titles beat out Capybara’s Sword And Sworcery EP.

Amazon’s got a super, super spooky Halloween sale going on through October 29, featuring deals that will make you poop yourself in terror, or something.

A quick peek around the corner revealed the new Aliens: Infestation (which was totally great) for $22.49, and the criminally overlooked (and also ghost-themed) Ghost Trick for $14.49. Another deal that made me kind of cower or whatever: Devil Survivor for $21. And if you need fodder for Super Saver shipping, throw in a $6 copy of Saw 2 for PS3. The Metacritic scores are pretty frightening.

Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective, the latest adventure title from Ace Attorney creator Shu Takumi (and also one of the best games released this year), is on sale at Amazon for just $15.43 — the lowest I’ve ever seen it priced.

And if you need more stuff to boost your order total for free shipping, if you don’t have it yet, you can’t go wrong with Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes, now only $14.26.

Creative use of the new eco-friendly 3DS boxes with Nintendogs + Cats (click for a larger version).
I hope Nintendo does this with the U.S. versions (and in a lot of other games, too)! It would help make up for the absence of a Top Pomeranian edition:

If you still have yet to follow DS Dates on TumblrTwitter, or Facebook , I suggest you go do that right now! Through midnight EST tonight, following our new spinoff site on any of those services will enter you for a free copy of Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective.

And unlike the characters in that game, once this offer expires, there will be no jumping backward in time and manipulating a room full of objects to bring it back. So enter today! As a bonus, you’ll be able to keep up with new DS/3DS releases and deals…

With last week’s launch of DS Dates, our new spin-off project tracking DS/3DS releases and discounts, we kicked off a contest to trap our fans into following the site.

Until February 15 midnight, anyone who “follows” DS Dates on Tumblr, Twitter, or Facebook will be entered to win a free copy of Capcom’s excellent adventure game Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective.

You can enter multiple times by following the site on multiple services, and the contest is open to readers from all countries (which hopefully does a little to make up for DS Dates being a North America-only site for now).

We hope to make contests like this on DS Dates a weekly thing, so please keep an eye on the site!

Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective autographed card. Capcom is randomly sending these to ten people in Japan who sign up for a random drawing. This is timed with the release of the iPhone/iPod Touch version over there, but I assume Capcom is grateful to people who bought it on DS too…

This stuff is kind of out of date, but it’s cute anyway: Capcom also posted a Ghost Trick New Year card and several Christmas-themed wallpapers. Even though it’s not Christmas, I totally want to see Missile the dog’s face on my screen every day!

Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective's launch trailer! That's right, the new adventure game from Ace Attorney series creator Shu Takumi comes out this week — how did January 11 get here so quick?

Our own JC Fletcher published a favorable review for the game , praising its animation (among other elements):

"[Each character has] a unique physical presence thanks to the best 2D animation I’ve ever seen in a video game. Everyone has a wonderful theatricality to their movements, from the detective who dances into every scene, to the writer who lifts her wine glass to every event, to the man with the Fred Sanford-style heart problems.”

More game reviewers need to shout out Sanford and Son.
