Hello Kitty the Hedgehog, the result of a collaboration between Sega and Sanrio, which promises more items of this cute nature. Sega will make this plushy available at its amusement centers in Japan later this month — the companies intend to bring their mash-up products to other countries some time next year.
Buy: Sonic Generations (PS3, Xbox 360, and 3DS)

Hello Kitty’s Panda Sports Stadium. I saw a preorder listing for Dorasu’s Hello Kitty’s Paku Paku and Logic, a falling-block puzzle and picross collection with an appealingly flat look, and it reminded me of this other Dorasu Hello Kitty game from 2008.

It’s an Olympic-style sports minigame collection… starring Hello Kitty… in a panda suit. I like that making a sports game about cartoon cats dressed up as pandas was a viable business plan for someone.

It is on — and by “it,” I mean “a Gachapin costume,” and by “on,” I mean “on Hello Kitty.” Both the Gachapin Kitty and Mukku Kitty are available as charms or straps, from Strapya. Apparently the partnership also resulted in a TV special, called “Umi no Bouken” (Sea Adventure), shown this month.

Hello Kitty as Mario and Luigi. Amazingly, the hats, mustaches, and bows in these papercraft models are all separate pieces, adding to the customizability — and the complexity — of their designs.
Basically, I’m glad other people build these things, so I can appreciate their cuteness without having to take on projects I know are too complicated for me. And this is a seriously cute project.

Hello Kitty DS Lite charger, uses batteries (AA/AAA?).
Not sure where you can buy the charger, but it’s pretty cute. The pink Hello Kitty hard case is a good match, too!
Unfortunately, the charger won’t work with the DSi — or any other handheld, for that matter — as the updated hardware requires a new type of adapter.

Oh man, Hello Kitty: Big City Dreams really is the minigame-filled, Sanrio-style Animal Crossing it looked like in screens. So basically it’s Animal Crossing populated by cartoon animals as cute as Science can safely create.
