I remember visiting a “computer convention” in 1995, thinking I could maybe find a good deal on my first computer, but that was not the case. One great thing about the event, though, is you couldn’t throw a rock around the show floor without hitting a pile of 1.44 MB disks filled with Doom mods — Doom with Barney, Doom with the Simpsons, all sorts of ridiculous shit.

Apparently someone released a Fist of the North Star mod for Doom several years ago, and now some bored programmer has ported the game to the Nintendo DS. Here’s a music video/trailer of the original PC version that probably makes the hack seem awesomer than it actually is (notice the lack of gameplay clips):
