Amazing Game Boy commercial from Hong Kong
Starring Mario, Raphael, and some kind of pink ninja. There’s also a Master System commercial!
Two new colors for the Nintendo 3DS are coming to Taiwan and Hong Kong: Cerulean Blue and Shimmer Pink, both of which look a few shades different from our own Aqua Blue and Pearl Pink models.
The system will launch in that region this September, alongside the White and Blue/Black 3DS XL. I bring it up every time, but for real tho, what taking’s so long for Nintendo of to bring a White 3DS to the States? I’m not saying its release here would result in game-changing sales, but you’d think it would help with the momentum problems the handheld is having in the West.

This photograph was shot today at a park in Sheung Shui, Hong Kong. 20 years later, and children are still carrying around their Game Boys. Will we see kids playing Nintendo DSes or PSPs in 2024? Love the bike, by the way.

3D art from a Downtown Nekketsu Kōshinkyoku: Soreyuke Daiundōkai scene. Tibori Design has a blog filled with more 3D scenes from Nintendo games like Balloon Fight and Excitebike. You can see the Japanese design company’s other work, like its pieces for chiptune group YMCK, at its official site.
The 3D blog has been linked by a number of sites already, but I couldn’t resist sharing some Kunio-kun art with you. Since I hate to post stuff that you might have already seen, here’s some more Kunio-kun junk to make up for it.
