“Water2 (Wetter)” by The J. Arthur Keenes Band. Cot damn, this dude is at another level with his chiptunes. He’s like UP HERE, and other cats are down there.

This is one of seven Game Boy-based pop tracks from his new release through 8bitpeoples, Computer Savvy, which also includes “The Bus That Couldn’t Slow Down” and “Low Tide” (a new take on an old favorite). The EP’s description:

“Smothered in nearly more overdubs than the substandard system it was recorded on could process, Computer Savvy offers a hazy blend of the archaic sounds you know and love with as many other sounds as could fit.”

“In the Bag” by J. Arthur Keenes. This thirty-second track by the Tiny Cartridge favorite is a precursor to a “new album of old songs.” It’s rad to start the weekend with a new Keenes songs, and more rad to know more are coming.

Colour Television” by J. Arthur Keenes. What is up with those noises halfway through? It’s like the chiptune equivalent of the Gilbert Gottfried-voiced AFLAC duck. But in a good way.
