Ninja Senki’s Super Limited CD-Rom Edition. This post is going up much too late to be of use to anyone, but Jonathan Lavigne was selling this (only 25 printed) and Hayate shirts at Geekfest Montreal this weekend.

If you’re new to the site, Ninja Senki is a fun, GBC-style platformer that happens to feature a cameo from a certain smiling mascot. It’s also available to download for free to your Windows PC over here. If you enjoy the game enough to want one of these special CD sleeves, you could always try contacting Lavigne at his site to see if there are any unsold copies available.

Ninja Senki now available for download →

As announced by designer Jonathan Lavigne last week, the GBC-style, ninja-ful platformer Ninja Senki is available for download today. If you have a Windows PC, you have no damn reason not to check this out — it’s free!

It’s also the only platformer that features our own Tiny as a room — for real. Lavigne confirmed to us that the room above is a Tiny Cartridge cameo appearance! We’re totally flattered, but we’ll do our best to maintain our journalistic objectivity about what is clearly the most significant game piece of art ever made by human hands.

Buy: Game Center CX (you know, for Haggleman; $13!)

Ninja Senki launch trailer. This awesome-looking game by Scott Pilgrim vs. the World designer Jonathan Lavigne now has an official release date — December 21. That’s just a week from now! After this trailer I am “officially” TOTALLY PUMPED.

Be sure to check out the previous trailer and the “boxart” image. And be sure to, you know, download the game next week.

Update: Holy crap, Peter Gene pointed out that the area seen 38 seconds in, which I took to be just a cute face, looks an awful lot like our own Tiny!

Ninja Senki “boxart” by Jonathan Lavigne (click for a larger image). A better site would have prepared some holiday-appropriate posts for today, but since we’re Tiny Cartridge, all we can offer for you to be thankful about are Amazon sales, Ni no Kuni commercials, and this awesome cover for a downloadable game that won’t actually have a box.

Do you remember Ninja Senki, the GBC-style platformer from one of the artist/coders behind Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: The Game and TMNT (for GBA)? If not, then watch this trailer and check out the tanooki’s bozack.

Lavigne says he plans to put up a Ninja Senki site “in a couple of weeks” with a download link for the PC game. Something to be thankful for in advance!

Wizorb title screen (click for larger image). Remember that fantasy-themed breakout game with retro-ish graphics? Ubisoft Montreal’s Jonathan Lavigne was working on it as a personal side project (along with GBC-style action platformer Ninja Senki), but he hasn’t said much about it since he showed off the PC title back in July 2009.

Apparently, he’s still working on it when he finds time(presumably, the Scott Pilgrim vs. the World game has kept him busy this past year), and he showed off this screenshot and new title to prove it. God, I can’t wait for these to release. The world needs Wizorb and Ninja Senki.

Ninja Senki, an upcoming Game Boy Color-styled indie game featuring “a blue ninja, shurikens and revenge!” Also, Tanooki testicles. So, yeah, watch out for that.

Jonathan Lavigne, an artist/coder at Ubisoft Montreal, is working on this curious personal project. His commercial contributions include TMNT for GBA (the only worthwhile TMNT game in recent memory), Open Season for GBA (which has some fucking gorgeous pixel art), and the Scott Pilgrim game currently in development. Impressive!

Though Ninja Senki is “pretty much feature complete”, Lavigne says he needs to add new levels and enemies, as well as debug and polish the game. He hopes to finish and put out the title before Christmas but doesn’t specify for what platform — I presume PC, but perhaps if we’re on our best behavior, he’ll also release this throwback platformer as a GBA or GBC ROM. I’d love to see something this cute and bloody on an old handheld!

Lavigne’s also developing a fantasy-themed Breakout game that looks like the god damn cat’s galoshes:
