More nice things we can’t have! This one is for the latest entry to Namco Bandai’s niche tactical RPG series. These crossover games rarely make it out of Japan due to their plethora of featured mechas from different anime franchises.
Here’s a trailer for Super Robot Wars UX that features a bunch of special attacks (one of the series’ primary attractions) — at the 2:05 mark, there’s a… Hatsune Miku mecha.

Hyrule Historia will receive a limited Collector’s Edition that will release alongside the standard book packed with Legend of Zelda art, history, and more.
The good news: this version has gold-gilded pages and a faux-leather cover with debossed Gate of Time artwork. Preorders are currently discounted to $45.73.
The bad news: Amazon lists this as shipping two weeks later than the standard version (January 29), and with eight fewer pages — it’s unclear if that’s because the Collectors Edition is missing the Akira Himekawa manga packed in with the standard release, or if the comic is just not included in the page count.

I know the attention right now is on Wii U unboxings, but let’s take a moment to admire this newly released beauty that will likely never come to the U.S..

Nintendo is giving China that work with these iQue 3DS XL designs (the system is known as the iQue 3DS over there). Man has not yet crafted a jar that could contain all the jelly I now have inside me.

Now that’s a limited edition set: the Bravely Default set is crazy nice, unboxed. Look at that 3DS case! Actually, the whole thing is nuts, from the diorama to the packaging.

A closer look at the NSMB 2 and Animal Crossing 3DS special edition XL systems coming to Japan, the latter of which looks like either a Louis Vuitton pattern or underwear, depending on who you ask. If you ask our readers, their heads will fill with pantsu.
There will be another Mini Nintendo Direct dedicated to Animal Crossing: Jump Out and broadcasting this Friday in Japan, 8 AM EST. You’ll be able to watch it here.

Wow, along with offering a slick PS Vita skin as a preorder bonus, Atlus is putting out a Premium Edition set for Persona 4 Golden when the game releases this fall.

The Bravely Default Collector’s Pack looks as attractive as the 3DS game. Sold exclusively through Square Enix’s e-store in Japan, the limited edition bundle includes the game, an art album for Akihiko Yoshida’s illustrations, a giant AR poster, a 3DS protective case, and more.
This set is going for ¥12,800 ($164), and will begin shipping in Japan with the game on October 11. Square Enix brought the special edition Kingdom Hearts bundle here, so who knows, maybe it will do the same for this, if the publisher releases Bravely Default in the U.S.
Also, Dengeki posted new screens and details for the game, showing off some non-combat/overworld stuff for a change and looking at menus for a change.

So god damn jelly: limited edition Dragon Quest Monsters 3DS unboxing. Will there ever be a finer looking 3DS? Probably not, what with Nintendo replacing this model with the new 3DS Pro next week, am I right?
You’ll notice in the clip’s second half that, like all big 3DS releases in Japan, the packaging for Dragon Quest Monsters: Terry’s Wonderland 3D features inside cover art for the eco-friendly box. Why hasn’t anyone created a site hosting scans of all these to print out yet?
Anyway, you can still import one of these bundles from Play-Asia for an insane $449.90. My birthday is coming up in a month, guys. Might as well buy my gift now while it’s on your mind, before you forget.

Kingdom Hearts 3D’s Mark of Mystery Edition, releasing in North America on July 31 for $54.99.
The limited edition package includes the following:
It’s not the special edition 3DS that Japan got, but I don’t think anyone really expected that in the States anyway.

PlayStation Vita’s new Crystal White color and Hatsune Miku bundle system — the former comes out in Japan on June 28, while the later hits on August 30.
PS Vita’s sales don’t appear too hot in the States (and they’ve absolutely cooled in Japan), so I expect Crystal White will make its way here soon. You can watch a trailer showing off both of the PS Vita systems here.
