Halloween gear for Nintendo fans and psycho killers ⊟
Hoping to dress up as your favorite Nintendo character this halloween? But you’d also like to go on a killing spree if possible? No worries, the two plans don’t need to be mutually exclusive, thanks to these frightening Link masks (via Dorkly) and Mario hoodies (via Nadia Oxford). I’m not sure where you can buy them, though. This might be one of those things where they acquire you.
This is a real article at The Washington Post ⊟
The newspaper brings up a valid question: why would he do this? Maybe Obama appreciates the villain’s moveset in Smash? Or perhaps our commander-in-chief watched the latest Kyary Pamyu Pamyu commercial (he’s a big fan of her work) for the New 3DS, and fell in love with Megane Bowser?
It’s actually a lot less interesting than that — the headline makes more sense when you realize the opponent running against our President’s nominee for Washington, D.C.’s mayoral race is city council member David Waluigi.
Please don’t charge your 3DS like this ⊟
That thing looks so close to breaking from the charge cable and falling to its doom. And then what will you play Pokemon or the new Zelda on?
Ry-Spirit explains, “God knows why theres a wall socket that’s so freakin high in this hotel room. Anyway I had to use it. No choice.” But isn’t that another outlet near the baseboard?! I presume the one up there is typically used for some kind of light fixture — even with the chair, how the hell did he reach up that high to plug in the charger?
Seriously, this is freaking me out. Don’t do this.

Another great moment in Pokémon nicknaming ⊟
God bless you, Xennified, along with all the other people out there who are making my Tumblr dashboard and Pokémon XY's Wonder Trade awesome by taking the time to come up with clever/stupid nicknames for your creatures.
Speaking of Pokémon XY bugs — yes, Darude/Vibrava isn’t technically a Bug type, but real talk, how is this thing a Ground-type instead of a Bug — you know that nasty glitch that’s corrupting save files when players save in the outer rim of Lumiose City? Nintendo is working on a fix. In the meantime, if it happens to you, people have had some success with this method.
Guess who I saw in Pokemon's Wonder Trade ⊟
Did you know that your mother is so Snorlax, when she takes a nap, she blocks all traffic through Route 7, and you have to go on a dumb quest to find a Poké Flute that will wake her up.
I’m sorry, 3DS pig decal ⊟
I’m sorry you were born into this cruel world, where people will judge you without knowing you, call you names, mock you behind your back, and do everything to tear you down. It was selfish of us to bring you into this world, knowing what you’d have to face.
Just know we’ll stand beside you for as long as we can, until you’re strong enough to rise above it all. Don’t ever let anyone convince you that you aren’t beautiful, or that you can’t do anything you want to. I love you, 3DS pig decal.
The photo and DecalGirl come from Vanessa Delfin. God bless.

Finally, a reasoned, unbiased reply to 2DS critics ⊟
After seeing high-profile tech bloggers like MG Siegler and John Gruber tear apart Nintendo and the 2DS in the last week, I was tempted to respond with my own piece pointing out their misconceptions, but it looks like I don’t need to. SammyClassicSonicFan puts them in their place with a thorough point-by-point rebuttal to 2DS pessimists in this passionate 16-minute video. Seriously, what the frick.

Nice guys of AC: New Leaf
Dying. Literally dying. Dead. R.I.P. Eric - “He posted funny Animal Crossing pics he found on Tumblr.”
Not really a family-friendly word
What it’s like for people not playing Animal Crossing: New Leaf right now
Artist Hannah Lee Stockdale [update: source] captured what I imagine it must be like for those poor souls without a 3DS or New Leaf, watching their Twitter feed or Tumblr dashboard fill up with posts from the game. “Everyone is talking about their cute experiences in the game, and visiting each other’s towns. Why is this happening to me.” *takes a forget-me-now*
Breaking news from hamburger stationary
I’m considering setting up some kind of newsletter service in my Animal Crossing: New Leaf town to deliver Tiny Cartridge articles, kind of like how our Twitter and Facebook auto-post stuff from the site. Not really, but that’s the dream.
@ErrorJustin sent this note to Mint, who Nookipedia tells me is a snooty, squirrel villager. I wonder what she thinks of the news. I wonder if anyone playing New Leaf cares, or if we’re all too busy having fun with our cute portable game to worry about whatever’s going on with next-generation home consoles.
