Well, this is the best idea. Nintendo’s new eShop point cards are also AR cards, with new Mario, Goomba, and Peach 3D models for you to pose in your 3DS photos. There’s a new photo app, Photo Together Super Mario, that lets you pose these in different ways, with effects. There is also a ¥1000 Koopa, ¥2000 Luigi, and ¥3000 Bowser card to collect.
What a clever way to get people interested in checking out the eShop. Japan seems very strongly retail-oriented, so point cards are probably the best way to get people to buy stuff online.
This came out of a mini Nintendo Direct overnight (surprise!) all about eShop stuff. Other than this, though, it covered Dillon’s Rolling Western 2 and Freakyforms Deluxe, nbd.
BUY Nintendo 3DS and 3DS XL consoles, upcoming games
All right, maybe I just have 3DS/3DS XL skins on the brain lately, but these geometric Mario block arrangements are pretty swanky. Especially the blue “underground” versions.
Pick em up at Play-Asia: Block, Block (Underground), Uneven, Uneven (Underground). They ship at the end of April for $16.90 each.

With the launch of a new console, and a new Mario game, let us not forget what’s really important in the world of Nintendo: unlicensed Mario junk from Dealextreme.
Here we have some truly excellent (for certain values of “excellent”) phone accessories, including a novelty handset in two colors – Dealextreme finally finds a reasonable excuse for these silly handsets, calling them “radiation protection handsets” – and these awesome surprised-looking Mario and Luigi “anti-dust plugs” for your headphone jack.
Hey, the Wii U has a headphone jack! THESE ARE WII U ACCESSORIES NOW.

Who’s that Pokemon?! Er, I mean, Nintendo character!
GameStop is teasing some unrevealed characters that will be included in Scribblenauts Unlimited. Given Nintendo’s willingness to let third-party developers drop its mascots into their games lately (e.g. Tekken Tag Tournament 2, Dynasty Warriors VS), it’s likely these are some familiar figures from the Mario and Zelda series.
I’ve included an image above with our best guesses for the silhouetted people. Presumably, Yoshi’s butt will appear only in the Wii U and 3DS versions, and not the PC release.

I’m unsure how Isaac fared on his quest, but Mario managed to execute his plan for finding booty yesterday.

The King of Games 10th anniversary t-shirt. This commemorative shirt is a play on the company’s Mario 20th anniversary tee, now celebrating KOG’s own milestone!
In short, this is a very expensive t-shirt that pretty much nobody would understand. I love it.

Nintendo has added the red Mario-style 3DS case to the North American Club Nintendo lineup, for 450 points – the same price as the green Luigi version, which now seems to have been removed from the site. It’s also oriented the opposite direction as the Luigi case, which is cute.
One of these cases will hold a DS, DSi, or 3DS admirably, with a little pocket for one game. It totally won’t hold a Vita.
