Shots of Game Paused’s “Classic Mario” t-shirt. I’ve been meaning to post pictures of this shirt for a while, because I think it’s super clever! It’s both pleasant to look at, and a cool reference to the vintage Super Famicom box art. These in-progress shots are my convenient excuse.

The shirt is part of Game Paused’s relaunched stores. It sells for £24, or about $38 in money I understand, and the store ships worldwide.

Super Mario Bros. TPU covers for 3DS, by Mori Games. So many accessories lately! These system cases add a tasteful little pixel Mario (and the word “Mario”) to the outside of the case. Each color has a different design, my favorite being the swimming Mario with air bubbles on the blue one.

As usual, I haven’t seen these available anywhere for import yet; in Japan, they cost ¥1,470 ($18.85) each.

Super Mario Hard Pouch, Protect Cover, and Protect Filter for 3DS, by Hori. It’s curious that both Hori and Keys Factory released non-Super Mario 3D Land-themed Mario accessories concurrent with that game.

That ?-block skin is so neat — why does it have to come with a Mario Party group portrait on the front? I don’t want to decorate my 3DS with Waluigi.

Super Mario Bros.-themed 3DS “Body Covers” by Keys Factory. What’s interesting about these is that they don’t directly reference or tie into Super Mario 3D Land at all, instead featuring either Super Mario Bros. sprite art or 2D character designs of pre-SNES characters (plus Yoshi).

Also interesting: they’re fresh to death. I haven’t seen these available on any American sites yet, unfortunately. In Japan, types A and C were released yesterday, with B and D coming November 24, for ¥1280 ($16.40) each.

Mario shoelaces and t-shirt, new on the North American Club Nintendo site. It’s pretty cool that we’re getting some new stuff that isn’t straight from the Japanese site. Those shoelaces are pretty wonderful, and you get both the white and yellow sets for your 300 coins.

The t-shirt is 500 coins, if you want that t-shirt.

Man, am I really thinking about spending my fake money on some Mario shoelaces? I’m pretty sure I’d be humiliatingly worried about ruining my limited-edition mail-order shoelaces by getting them dirty, so maybe not.
