Here’s another meme that I’d never heard of until today, ported to the DS courtesy of Foxi4. Between this, the two Nyan_Cat programs, RickRollDS, and CaramellDansen, there is an abundance of homebrew meme apps.
DS-Scene explains this application/meme:
“Some time ago, if you googled 2204355 and clicked ‘I’m Feeling Lucky’, you would have been taken to a fullscreen flash animation of this KFC dude dancing to the chiptune (za)alf2.xm. The tune is a remix of the theme song from the 80’s TV-show ALF, by Zalza from Sweden.”
I know lots of dudes think KFC is gross, but I grew up on their breaded hot wings, and when they brought them back two or three years ago, I pretty much looked like this dancing guy, two-steppin’, a wing in each hand like it wasn’t a god damn thang.
Pick up five hot wings, break out half a cup of steamed white rice, and, baby, you’ve got a meal going.

Kencha Bancho: Badass Rumble just got a little bit awesomer. With Atlus handling the localization for this PSP title, the script is peppered with similar humor.
That doesn’t mean Atlus went all “Working Designs” with the translation; according to Eastern Mind, who I trust on matters of this sort, Kenka Bancho’s English release is “one of the best-ever adaptations/translations of a game originally designed in Japan.” High praise!
Eastern Mind also posted a diary with accompanying screenshots for the game’s first half-hour, and it’s as good an argument as any for why you should buy a copy. And if you need more convincing, hearing punk band The Blue Hearts sing “Train Train” over the Japanese trailer will get you hyped (Why didn’t Atlus use this song in its stateside promotions?! Totally dropped the ball there.):
