Monster Hunter 4G has Animal Crossing in it because this is the world we live in now ⊟
Sonic and Taiko Drum Master being in the new Monster Hunter wasn’t enough for you? Here, have Isabelle and Resetti from Animal Crossing: New Leaf because that’s what we do now. That’s what’s going on.
Apparently these are Felyne outfits that will be given out in Japan as part of a 7-11 promotion, according to Japanese 3DS. Who knows how this will be promoted if/when it comes to the West.
Sonic x Monster Hunter 4G is happening ⊟
Here’s that solid gold Felyne statue you wanted for your house ⊟
You know, for that weird little triangular shelf on the landing of your stairs. It’s only 2,990,000 yen ($29163 fucking US American dollars). Act now, because only ten of these actual 24-carat gold statues of a thing from a video game are being produced, and they will go quickly here in the real world that we live in and I am not kidding.
Yup, you can play Link dress-up with MH4U in the West too ⊟
So we knew the Japanese version of this 3DS game featured a Nintendo collab to offer Link’s armor set and weapons in Japan, so it’s no surprise that Capcom just announced the same will be true in North America. The publisher also says it has more special equipment announcements coming soon.
So much Monster Hunter 4G crap ⊟
With Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate announced for Japan, here comes an overwhelming monster-sized assortment of tie-in items. Literally tied in (as in attached to the game) is the limited edition, which comes with four figurines and a random plush when purchased from e-Capcom.
There are also way too many accessories, like screen cleaners, SD cards?, stickers, cases, earphones, this treasure chest looking thing… Anyway, go ahead and throw all of your Monster Hunter 4 accessories in the trash, because there are 4G items now. Via Ruliweb.
Monhun, Famicom Remix shirts ⊟
The Famicom/NES Remix shirt is a special King of Games design on sale in Japan.
Monster Hunter: The Guitar ⊟
It’s taken ten years, but ESP has managed to craft an electric guitar out of Rathalos carcasses. The 2.3 million yen ($22502) guitar is… wait, I can’t finish that sentence. A $22,000 guitar? That looks like a monster wing or something?
Anyway, most of the other new MH stuff shown off on Dengeki isn’t quite as expensive.
What the hell is a CYBER Extension Pad Slim ⊟
Actually, I know what it is: it’s a Circle Pad Pro-style device for 3DS XL that puts a second circle pad between the L button and the extra left trigger. It’s designed for Monster Hunter 4. What I don’t know is why that’s a good idea?
What is a good idea is the Micro-USB connector that allows you to charge the device while playing. If you want one of these, it ships at the end of May from Play-Asia, for $33.
A Monster Hunter fan for Monster Hunter fans ⊟
Here’s a USB fan in the shape of a Monster Hunter character wielding a lance – which can be adjusted to whatever angle you prefer. It ships next month from J-List for $52, and now I’ve just about made it through the post without acknowledging how phallic this thing looks.
Three Little Monster Hunters ⊟
I love that this is how Capcom is advertising Monster Hunter 4. Just put some animal masks on, whatever! It’s a really funny ad despite, or maybe because of, its low-budgetness.
Why is Capcom even doing commercials for this game anyway? Is there someone in Japan who doesn’t know about Monster Hunter?
Monster Hunter cat face case ⊟
It’s me! Airou! Airou… from the Monster Hunter! I’m here to hold your 3DS XL!
This great accessory is $22.99 from Play-Asia.
