Nexon Mobile hiring for 3DS development

Korean developer and publisher Nexon Mobile posted a job listing for developers to work on next generation portable game consoles, specifically naming the 3DS.

Those of you familiar with MMOs or free-to-play games will know Nexon for putting out titles like MapleStory, Dungeon Fighter, etc. It even worked with Nintendo to release a DS adaptation of MapleStory last year, though it never appeared anywhere outside of Korea.

Nexon Mobile has lately worked on bringing its popular franchises like MapleStory and Kart Rider to iOS. Perhaps it has similar plans for the 3DS? Whatever it intends to work on, I hope it releases in the U.S. this time around.

Slap-up Party: Arad Senki anime’s 8-bit ending, with music by Japanese chiptune sensation YMCK.

I’ve never watched Arad Senki and am tempted to try it out, but OMGN’s Alicia says it’s “really pretty terrible”, so maybe I’ll just enjoy this cute video and leave it at that.

The show is based on a Korean MMORPG from Nexon, known in the States as Dungeon Fighter Online. Apparently, it looks, plays, and sounds nothing like this 8-bit homage, which makes me very unhappy. This video has more charm than 90 percent* of the Japanese RPGs released this handheld console generation.
