Reminder: download the Ace Attorney Investigations demo

In case you’ve managed to let a whole week and part of another elapse without downloading the DS Ace Attorney Investigations demo (and if you live somewhere said demo is being offered) — go get it. Right now.

I say this because I’m a huge Ace Attorney freak and I’ve managed to forget to do this. I’ve been busy, you know? Anyway, do that.

Check the Nintendo Channel for once

Quick note: Because it happens so rarely, you may not have noticed that Nintendo added a new demo to the selection of DS downloads on the Wii’s Nintendo Channel. I know I’m interested in checking out Sting’s weird possession-based strategy RPG Knights in the Nightmare, and I’m guessing some of you are too, so we should all probably do that.

All I have to do now is relearn how to turn on the DS and not play Rhythm Heaven.

Buy: Knights in the Nightmare ($31.99)

Ugo Ugo Trinity (student-made game) trailer.

Should your memory fail you, UUT is the third free and downloadable release to come out this year from Nintendo’s annual Game Seminar, following after Fufu Kirarin and Re: Koetist.

This game uses the DS’s mic for three minigames:

  1. Clap your hands next to the microphone at the right time to squash the mosquitos.
  2. Um, I’m not sure about this one. It has something to do with ninjas, so it can’t be too terrible.
  3. Blow into the mic to properly cook the kabobs.

It’s all very odd and without much depth to it, but at least it’s free! … in Japan.

A very important public service announcement

Nintendo sneaked all kinds of junk out during its keynote, like the SD Card Menu and the Virtual Console Arcade. One thing that eluded my attention until tonight was that a Rhythm Heaven demo is now available on the Nintendo Channel.

Seriously, you should check that out.
