No More Heroes beam katana replica, being auctioned by Grasshopper Manufacture for Japan relief. It’s predictably expensive — $720 right now — but 100% of the proceeds go to the Red Cross as part of the game industry’s “Play for Japan” initiative.
This “Blood Berry” replica was brandished by Suda 51 during Tokyo Game Show 2009, when Suda was doing interviews to promote No More Heroes 2. I was personally threatened with with this beam katana! According to the auction, it was primarily used as a reference for animation. It’s really impressive in real life. I totally want to bring it home for myself, but yeahhhhhhh.

No More Heroes 2 Sylvia Christel figure by Yamato. As far as I know, this representation of the enigmatic Sylvia about to burn the hell out of herself is the first statue to be released of a NMH character.
Even though this is $135 from AmiAmi, I’m going to suggest that the more financially irresponsible of you, and those able to get away with having provocative-looking figurines in your houses, totally pick this up so companies decide it’s good business to make No More Heroes stuff, despite the games not really selling in Japan.
There is currently no Travis Touchdown figure on my shelf. What the hell, people.

No, I don’t mean women who are part grasshopper. Please don’t draw that, and if you do, don’t show me.
Our awesome pal Matt “Fort90” Hawkins has teamed up with Grasshopper Manufacture and Jap-Sai to give away lots of rad Grasshopper swag to the person who sends him the best fanart of any female character from a GHM game.
He explains, “Not gonna lie: I’m mostly interested in NMH babes, though I’d like to believe that game provides the greatest variety of potential subjects, so no one feels too constricted.” Check the site for image size and format requirements.
So what do you stand to get for your efforts? Only way too much fucking stuff, including the NMH2 “Erotica Comic,” two portrait postcard books, the Japanese guidebook for No More Heroes: Heroes’ Paradise, a copy of the rare Hand in Killer7 book, Bizarre Jerry 5, “Hellride,” Flower, Sun, & Rain t-shirts, and Cory Schmitz’s Killer 7 t-shirt (not having any of these shirts makes me wonder where my life went wrong).
You have until May 1 to prepare your entries. Fair warning: you’ll have to compete with me, and my artwork might just be sad enough to win out of pity.

Full-size papercraft Travis Touchdown by Instructables user ddi7i4d. Not only did the papercraft artist design, cut, fold, and glue a 1.86 meter paper model of the protagonist from No More Heroes, he did so based on a 3D model he created himself. I don’t know why he didn’t just rip one from the game, but then I’m a little foggy on why he took it upon himself to make this giant papercraft in the first place!
As for why he posted a detailed Instructable about its creation, with all the necessary files to create your own, the guide is an entry in a contest through which the site is giving away a laser cutter. That’s sort of like a beam katana! A stationary beam katana that could probably still kill a guy.

No More Heroes 2 poster. Grasshopper Manufacture is giving five of these awesome movie-style posters to Twitterers. The Japanese tweet about this giveaway asks fans to talk about their favorite No More Heroes characters, along with the reason for that preference and the #NMHXmas hashtag. But the U.S. side asks only for retweets of this message.
One of the five posters given away will be signed by Suda 51 and NMH character designer Yusuke Kozaki. The rest will merely be rad posters. That you should try to win.

No More Heroes 2 is once again super cheap, selling for $12.99 at Amazon, and I’m sharing this fanart of Travis Touchdown as a wolf to celebrate this deep discount. I had a tough time choosing between this image and another wonderful piece from BlueAtmosphere.
Amazon also has sales on both Phantasy Star Portable 2 and Metroid: Other M for $19.99, as well as two complicated promotions where you can save money and get $15 or $20 store credit after buying select games.
Anddddd, while we’re talking about sales, JC tells me that he’s heard reports of Target locations clearing Sin & Punishment 2 to $12. If you’re too lazy to go outside and check if it’s true, you can just buy it online for $19.99.

Page 1 of “No More Loser,” from the “Erotica Comic” in the No More Heroes 2 Hopper’s Edition, fan-translated. Pages 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7. This comic by No More Heroes character designer Yusuke Kozaki offers a tiny bit of background for Skelter Helter, the first assassin faced in NMH2.

No More Heroes 2 trailer, featuring images from the “Erotica Comic” included with the Japan-only “Hopper’s Edition.” As much as I like seeing new No More Heroes art, I’m pretty sure the world didn’t need “sexy” Bizarre Jelly 5 comics.
And that half-condemnation of the comic is the worst possible way to kick off an impromptu campaign to ask GHM to translate the Erotica Comic and release it online for us Anglophone No More Heroes nerds. Hey GHM, please do that thing I just said!

New No More Heroes 2 t-shirt designs for the Japanese release. Marvelous has collaborated with Design Tshirts Store Graniph to put ten new NMH-themed shirt designs into the game. In turn, Graniph will actually produce two of the designs on real human-style t-shirts, based on votes collected from the website. Normally, this would be where I try to suggest that if you don’t vote for a certain one, you’re a dunce and maybe a horrible human being, but … I like them all.
This would normally be where I lament the fact that this stuff is only available in Japan, but Graniph ships worldwide! If they show up on the website, you can buy some No More Heroes shirts. What a nice hypothetical situation.

Want to look like Travis Touchdown? More accurately, want to look like this mannequin? Rising Star Games and CVG have partnered for a UK-only sweepstakes whose prize is a full Travis Touchdown costume, including:
Oh, and…
The contest is connected to the NMH-themed “Airport51” store that was open in London for a week. As with all online contests, I would really like for a TC reader to win this one! I’m sure we have readers who both live in the UK and covet Travis’s look.
“Philistine” remix found on the PAL No More Heroes 2 disc. Not only is this a cool (if autotuney) version of the song, it’s evidence that some aspects of the game were being altered in the five months between the North American and European releases.
This is identified as the “Fukuda Mix” of the song, suggesting the remix was done by GHM’s Jun Fukuda. The original was composed by MARU. Matt posted it a few months ago, but here it is for ease of comparison/rocking out:
