Pokemon Opposite Word cards ⊟
Want to teach your kids about opposites, Japanese language and Pokemon simultaneously? J-List has this cool set of cards featuring matched sets of opposites, in simple Japanese hiragana (examples above: front/back, male/female).
I mean, if you think about how many things you’d learn at once from this card game, $14 is pretty cost effective. It’s like if your math textbook was full of examples that also happened to be common auto repair procedures.
Hey, you, be a detective with Pikachu ⊟
Remember those GIFs of a new mystery Pokémon 3DS game and evil Pikachu? We now know that project is a detective game in which the electric rodent is your partner. More details from NHK’s Japanese tv program The Professionals, posted by Serebii:
"A rare Pikachu is said to be the enemy within this game, but they can’t see people liking it. The game is to feature a special Blue Pikachu, which talks. The Pikachu is being controlled via motion capture and facial recognition.
All this information is from early development, so it is probable that it will change should the game come out.”
The game is said to have a development cycle of two years, and is expected to release in… 2015.

Patch out for Pokémon XY's Lumiose City glitch ⊟
You can grab Nintendo’s patch for the Lumiose City save bug heading to the eShop right now! Or scan these QR codes with your 3DS’s camera (should work across regions), if that sounds faster to you somehow.
This patch won’t fix all the trouble you’ll have navigating this confusing city with the janky camera, though. Thanks to JoeM86 for the pic.
TinyCast 010 - Legend of Your Mom
Tiny Cartridge • TinyCast
We’re back with an extra-long episode — our tenth episode, actually! TinyCast X(Y)! How have we already made ten of these? Make some time this morning to hear us chat about all the limited edition 3DSes announced lately, The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds' Lorule, and lots of Pokémon.
We tried something different with our Pokémon chatter this time around, bringing in our chiptune columnist Dannel Jurado and artist Caitlin Boyle to give us a different perspective on XY and what they love about it. We followed that up with some lessons from Professor Fran on EVs, IVs, and more.
We all knew what we were getting into when we picked up Animal Crossing: New Leaf, that despite our neighbors’ efforts to make best friends out of us, we weren’t permanent additions to the town. Make us mayor if you want, but it won’t keep us here — we’ll eventually wander off to the next distraction, the next video game world, leaving Isabelle to keep the town running.
Even if we ever decide to load up New Leaf again, see how everyone is holding up, it will never be like it once was. You can’t go home again.
Thanks to @nameoftheyear for sending over the link.

Frightening peek at the new Pokémon 3DS game ⊟
You might have heard that there’s a Pokémon 3DS game in the works that’s centered around Pikachu and a hero who uses “playfulness” as a weapon.
Japanese TV program Professional—Style of Work will provide a behind-the-scenes look at the game’s development next week, and posted this clip showing a brief glimpse of the project, as well as some terrifying motion capture. Credit to Siliconera for spotting the video!

Not gonna front, Professor Sycamore does have a certain, how you say, je ne sais quoi about him.
Pikachu cake molds ⊟
Wondering what to serve when your friends come over to play Pokemon X/Y all day, which I’m sure happens somewhere sometime? Make a Pikachu cake with these silicone molds from J-List.
Another great moment in Pokémon nicknaming ⊟
God bless you, Xennified, along with all the other people out there who are making my Tumblr dashboard and Pokémon XY's Wonder Trade awesome by taking the time to come up with clever/stupid nicknames for your creatures.
Speaking of Pokémon XY bugs — yes, Darude/Vibrava isn’t technically a Bug type, but real talk, how is this thing a Ground-type instead of a Bug — you know that nasty glitch that’s corrupting save files when players save in the outer rim of Lumiose City? Nintendo is working on a fix. In the meantime, if it happens to you, people have had some success with this method.
Guess who I saw in Pokemon's Wonder Trade ⊟
Did you know that your mother is so Snorlax, when she takes a nap, she blocks all traffic through Route 7, and you have to go on a dumb quest to find a Poké Flute that will wake her up.
