New Persona Q trailers, artbook preview ⊟
We have two new trailers for Persona Q, as well as eight pages from the 32-page artbook that comes with the game’s premium edition. I would’ve featured those pages in this image post instead of this GIF from the trailers, but I can’t good in good conscience after seeing the Hobo typeface all over the artbook.

Nintendo now accepting digital preorders ⊟
Surprise! Digital preorder buttons have appeared on some new Wii U and 3DS game pages at Nintendo’s official site, spotted by L~A. You can just click to buy the game, and either have it automatically download to your console (WHAT?) or get a code in your email when the game is out — you have the option of gifting that code to a friend, too!
You can do this for Super Smash Bros., Captain Toad, Fantasy Life, Pokemon Art Academy, Pokemon Omega Ruby, and Pokemon Alpha Sapphire.
I’m guessing that this is related to the eshop.nintendo.net website that surfaced mysteriously with no announcement. Service is still intermittent, but you can use that site to redeem eShop codes!
I’m so excited about this. I use the web PlayStation Store exclusively. It’s so much nicer to shop and redeem codes on a computer rather than a touchscreen.
Of course, you don’t have to use these digital preorders at all. You’re so, so welcome to continue using our Amazon links.

The second wave of Amiibo figures, which will release in North America some time in December, is now available to reserve online. Included in the second line-up are Luigi, Diddy Kong, Zelda, Pit, Captain Falcon, and Little Mac.

New Pokemon 3DSes, covers up for preorder ⊟

These limited edition Pokemon 3DSes, which will be hawked exclusively through Japan’s Pokemon Centers, aren’t going to up for sale long, so you’re going to want to preorder one pronto. They’re $336.99 each at Play Asia, but take note that they’re the New 3DSes that come with suede cover plates and custom Home menu themes. You can get either the White one with Kyogre or the Black system with Groudon.

And while the non-limited-edition New 3DS systems aren’t up for preorder anymore, you can reserve one of the 38 different cover plates for the system. They’re priced at $19.99 each, which is more than I expected, but I’m probably going to buy one anyway as soon as I somehow manage to pick a favorite. New 3DS charger stands (available in Black, White, Mint, and Pink) are available to preorder too. Thanks to NintendoTweet for the links!

Pokemon Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire SteelBook edition and preorder bonuses for Europe ⊟

Though Europe gets the new ‘mons a week later than the rest of the world, if you preorder the games there, you’ll receive special SteelBook packaging, elevating you above the plastic casing plebes in other regions.

The official Nintendo UK store is throwing Primal Kyogre and Groudon figures with their respective preorders, as is retailer GAME. It looks like ShopTo is including Torchic keyrings with reservations for standard editions for the game — not sure how you get the other keyrings, but they are things that exist!

Harvest Moon: The Lost Valley up for preorder ⊟
While GameStop has had reservations open for a while (with bonus plush dogs too), if you’re like me and prefer to buy your games anywhere else that isn’t GameStop, you can now preorder Harvest Moon: The Lost Valley at Amazon ($29.99). Note that the listed release date is just a placeholder!
This is the interesting Minecraft-y 3DS game developed internally by Natsume, by the way — the latest Bokujo Monogatari that released in Japan and is also coming to the U.S. this year from Xseed, Story of Seasons, is also available to reserve on Amazon ($39.99)

Super Smash Bros. Wii U bundle preorders open ⊟

The bundle comes with a Wii U copy of the game, a special edition GameCube controller, and a four-port GameCube controller adapter (Wii U console not included). It’s $99.99 for the package, which is $10 cheaper than what you’d pay for everything separately.

And here’s where you can buy everything separately:

You also have the option of finding someone to mod your 2DS/3DS with a GameCube controller adapter. Thanks to @Wario64 for the tip!

Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright for $32 ⊟
Two whole universes in one game for just $31.99! What savings! Both GameStop and Amazon have discounted pre-orders of the crossover courtroom game, due August 29.
This seems fairly unusual for a Nintendo-published game, but what isn’t unusual about the situation with this game… Image via Apolloterran, deal via @wario64.

Persona Q's premium edition coming to North America ⊟

Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth, the Etrian Odyssey-esque dungeon crawler that mashes characters from the Persona 3 and 4 universes, will release in North America with a $79.99 “The Wild Cards Premium Edition” that includes the 3DS game, tarot cards, an art booklet, a soundtrack CD, and a 3DS XL hard case, along with a special box to house all of that.

The standard edition of the game will be priced at $49.99 (reminiscent of Shin Megami Tensei IV's premium pricing). This “first run” will include the tarot cards and special packaging.

These cards are just half of a set, the other half being included in copies of Persona 4 Arena Ultimax. The Persona Q batches will include Tarot Cards of Arcanas XI - XXI.

Analogue Nt NES/Famicom system up for pre-order ⊟

Analogue has opened pre-orders for its Nt, the Famicom/NES device with RGB output, four controller ports, and purported “unparallelled” compatibility with American and Japanese games and accessories. “The Analogue Nt is region free, equipped with the original NES controller ports, and even has the original Famicom Expansion port. All with no emulation.”

If I can use my NES Max with Japanese games, or get weird Fami accessories and play US games with them… man, that’s exciting. The Famicom 3-D glasses in the picture are a nice demonstration. And RGB output sounds nice.

Here’s the thing, though. This ultimate compatibility and beautiful hardware design means a premium price. The Nt is $500, and that’s before you change the hardware color or add accessories.

New Theathrythm's box, 3DS XL bundle preorder ⊟

Not a bad cover for Theatrhythm Final Fantasy: Curtain Call! It’s the same design as what’s on the special edition 3DSL XL for Japan, except with more cover. That hardware bundle, by the way, is now available to preorder from Play-Asia for $413.99. Importing a system is really expensive! Still, I know some of you were considering taking the plunge with this kit.

Preorder Crying’s “Get Olde” tape ⊟
This is like one of the few times I’m actually happy to have an old’n busted car with a tape deck! You can grab one of these (initial run of 100 cassettes) for $5, plus $3 s/h. Orders will begin shipping out some time next week. The full 7-track digital EP is still available to download with pay-what-you-want pricing at Bandcamp. How many times do I have to tell you that the album is so good?
And if you missed the deadline to submit your own sing-a-long clip for Crying’s upcoming “ES” music video, you can still send something in! It turns out that was a fake deadline, and they don’t care when you submit your video.
