Cave Story Balrog quilt by Diana Welsch. “This is my first quilt,” Welsch said in the eBay listing for the handmade quilt. “It is composed of more than 1500 tiny squares. It was extremely time-intensive. The ladies at the quilting store where I bought the fabric think I’m crazy.”
Currently, there aren’t any bids on this amazing quilt, but bidding starts at $300. At that price, this is not a sleeping quilt, but a “display” quilt. Then again, who am I to tell you what to do with your textiles?

Feel the Magic goldfish quilt. Etsy user punzie loved the freaky DS launch game enough to make a 50” x 60” quilt based on the image on the protagonist’s shirt. Somebody’s bound to be crazy enough about the franchise to pay $95 for said quilt, right?
Although, really, you wouldn’t even have to like Feel the Magic to appreciate such a nice pixelart quilt.

We’ve seen some badass gear on Etsy, but punzie’s Pixelated quilts and pillows are pretty awesome, if only for the sheer amount of work that goes into them. I really admire anyone who can make things that are useful, yet cool. The closest I ever get to doing anything like that is adding some parsley to dinner to make it all prettified.
Spotted the already-sold Metroid quilt first at Sprite Stitch and was inspired to check out the whole store. Punzie’s got some really nice stuff—but you’re gonna pay for the effort.
