DS/3DS Release Dates & Sales // Tiny Cartridge Stickers For Your Games!
Adapter lets you copy 3DS save data →

These DS save data accessories have been available for some time now on semi-sketchy sites, but this one is notable for a recent firmware update that adds support for 3DS games. The $25 device connects a DS or 3DS cart to your computer via USB, in order to grab save data off the cart, and even replace it (sort of like a DS Dex Drive).

I believe this just backs up save data and not whole ROMs — this review doesn’t mention anything about copying games. Which is a good thing from the perspective of “this thing isn’t a piracy device.” And I’d love to be able to download saves for stuff without having to have the whole game on a flashcart. Let us know if you know more about this doodad!

Want a PSP 2000 in a crazy color? →

If you don’t mind getting an old version of the PSP, without whatever new features the 3000 has, Renchi just marked down its supply of Japanese PSP 2000 consoles to $179, which doesn’t seem that bad — it’s the Japanese retail price! Of course, Sony just introduced some even more brightly-colored PSP 3000s in Japan.

I’m that much closer to being able to get that toothpaste green one I like for some reason! (Yeah, I don’t know).

DSi possibly hacked (and other DSi news)

DSi Hacked Already?

“This video would appear to show custom code running on the brand new Nintendo DSi. It comes from Yasusoft, developer of the YSMenu custom DSTT menu. Experimenting with a friend’s DSi, he seems to have gotten a ‘Hello World’ message running from somewhere within the DSi’s photo channel. GBATemp posters speculate that he is using a hacked TIFF image file to cause a buffer overflow, much like early PSP exploits did.”

Nintendo Sells Just Over 170,000 DSi Units at Launch

“Sales of Nintendo’s DSi, the latest revision of its popular handhand gaming device, totaled 170,779 units during its first two days on sale, according to an estimate from Japan’s Enterbrain.”

Shameful DSi Camera Use Discovered

“One discerning individual has already found an enterprising use for it: Anime boobs.”

Renchi Drops DSi Import Prices To $250

Now I feel like a chump, having paid Play Asia $300 for an early import. At least I’m a chump with a DSi … ;o(
