Tiny Cartridge 3DS

Doing its part to make sure you carry your 3DS around everywhere, Capcom has thrown in a StreetPass feature in Resident Evil: Revelations that will net you new enemies and missions for the game’s co-op Raid Mode, as well as parts for customizing weapons, when you pass other RE: Revelations players in real life.

The custom parts look like the usual stuff, upgrades for increasing your firepower, ammo capacity, etc. The StreetPass missions offer rewards that you can use in the campaign (e.g. herbs, money, extra clips for extra shit).

What is the deal with the wetsuit outfit in these new Resident Evil: Revelations images? It’s amazing that the weirdest things you’ll notice in the first two screenshots are not the mutated, gross-looking creatures but Jessica’s bare leg exposed for no discernible reason.

This image seems to suggest that it could be an homage to another ridiculous Resident Evil outfit from Jill.

Resident Evil: Revelations TGS trailer (starring Rachel). Never mind this woman’s absolutely ridiculous outfit, the super gross white substance she runs her fingers across, and the idiocy of throwing her gun away after firing only three shots — what is up with her damn hair?

How can she even see out of those bangs? If she turns out to be a playable character, this is what it will look like when you’re trying to aim with the first-person view.

Some info on her: ”Rachel, a mysterious woman who appears injured, clutching her arm… She wears the same kind of wetsuit as Jill, but are they on the same team? What fate awaits this woman on the ghost ship?”

New Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D trailer shows Jill Valentine and Albert Wesker shooting dudes in the face. This is a visually impressive title for a game on a Nintendo handheld — it’s quite a step from Dementium on the DS!

When Capcom ships this spin-off of the series’ Mercenaries mode in a few months, the game will not only include online support and the ability to move/shoot at the same time but also a demo for Resident Evil Revelations.

Resident Evil: Revelations looks sick

Capcom just sent out new screenshots for its upcoming Resident Evil 3DS games, and minds are being blown. This first batch of images is from Resident Evil: Revelations, which is only 20 percent complete as far as development goes — Lord know how they’ll be able to improve these visuals for the 100 percent complete version.

Revelations will have more horror elements than the recent action-heavy Resident Evils, and will star Jill Valentine and Chris Redfield investigating a deadly threat on a stranded cruise liner: “The pair will need to fight for survival as they explore the dark and claustrophobic environments both at sea and as the action moves to dry land.”

Nintendo 3DS videos for Ocarina of Time, Resident Evil: Revelations, and more!

It’s impossible to experience the stereoscopic 3D effect of these games in these videos, but Japan’s MX TV aired a lot of shakycam footage for half-a-dozen Nintendo 3DS games from Nintendo’s Tokyo conference last month.

After the break, I’ve embedded clips for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (OMG, portablez), Resident Evil: Revelations (OMG, the graphicz), Samurai Warriors Chronicle (OMG, the enemy AI), Steel Diver (OMG, the E3 2004 game), Nintendogs & Cats (OMG, the kittens), and Ridge Racer 3DS (…).
