Another English video for Rhythm Heaven Fever, which will be out here before you know it! Provided that the date you expect to know it is sometime after February 13.
Nintendo posted this clip with a cryptic message: “Keep your eyes open for a special something that may come in handy (hint, hint).” There’s a red, capitalized T at the end of the video, but I have no idea what that means.

Did you know Rhythm Heaven Wii has four minigames from the original GBA release? NintenDaan posted three of the unlockable games — Calligraphy, Tap Dance, and The Clapping Trio — on his Youtube account.
By the time this finally comes out here, I’ll have seen and “played” every minigame by tapping along on my desk.

Nintendo of Japan posted a few new commercials for the Wii Rhythm Heaven game last night, giving us some brief glimpses of the new musical minigames contained within. One commercial focuses on a game in which you press A to have a wrestler say “hai” at the right time in response to an interviewer’s question; another requires you to make a seal roll around on the snow in time with his seal companions.
Another commercial runs through a lot of new games very quickly, including something about dancing crawfish, pigs with moustaches spinning in office chairs, monkeys playing dodge ball on a clock face, cold lampin’ in front of a car, and more.
This game comes out in Japan on the 21st, and we still don’t have a release date yet. I don’t care when it happens — I’m just so happy there’s more Rhythm Heaven. Think about it: some day soon, you’ll wake up, and it’ll be the day you play a new Rhythm Heaven game.

Nintendo opened up its Japanese Rhythm Heaven Wii site last night, and put up more than seven clips of the different minigames. You can watch them on Youtube, too, courtesy of NintenDaan — I highly recommend you enrich your life with the multiplayer Karate Man and Badminton videos.

This is one of several songs that Nintendo of America re-recorded in English for the U.S. release of Rhythm Heaven (shipping this weekend!). You can hear the localized version here. It didn’t turn out nearly as bad as some of the other new recordings.

If you’re one of those weeaboos people who prefer the rhythm game’s original music, there is an early Undub Patch, which of course requires a flashcart and a ROM of the game — preferably not a pirated one. Using the hack, however, will change all the audio to Japanese and not just the songs, and there are slight synchronization problems in two stages. Them’s the breaks.

The English voice isn’t quite as good, especially in “Fan Club,” but the game is still super fun. It’s nothing to get all Internet-petition about.
