DS/3DS Release Dates & Sales // Tiny Cartridge Stickers For Your Games!

Go Series DSiWare games coming to North America and Europe.  Rising Star Games and Gamebridge are localizing a batch of budget DSiWare titles from several small Japanese developers. The first two titles releasing as part of this deal are G-Mode’s time-attack platformer 10 Second Run and Tom Create’s Defence Wars, which hit Europe next month (no U.S. dates announced yet).

This trailer also shows off several G.G. Series titles like Dark Spirit and Fatal Blow. Genterprise is already releasing the latter in the states as Super Hero Ogre, so I presume its Go Series inclusion is only for Europe? Oh, and that reminds me: Ninja Karakuri Den released in the U.S. yesterday for 200 Nintendo Points, so pick that up!

You’ll notice that ArtePiazza’s Pinball Attack is in this video, too — nice to see that making it out of Japan, as I’ve heard it’s pretty fun. I hope Rising Star and Gamebridge have more DSiWare titles in mind to bring over. I’d love to see them publish G-Mode’s Chicken Spirit and its game about manners here!

Buy: Nintendo DSi XL (Burgundy and Bronze), Standard Nintendo DSi (White, Pink, Black and Blue)

UK residents: win a Travis Touchdown costume →

Want to look like Travis Touchdown? More accurately, want to look like this mannequin? Rising Star Games and CVG have partnered for a UK-only sweepstakes whose prize is a full Travis Touchdown costume, including:

  • Bizarre Jelly 5 shirt
  • Red leather jacket
  • Wig
  • Sideburns (apparently they’re separate!)
  • Sunglasses
  • Glove
  • Jeans
  • Red and white shoes
  • Studded belt
  • Katana belt… thing
  • Wristband

Oh, and…

  • Beam katana

The contest is connected to the NMH-themed “Airport51” store that was open in London for a week. As with all online contests, I would really like for a TC reader to win this one! I’m sure we have readers who both live in the UK and covet Travis’s look.

English trailer for Fragile Dreams: Farewell Ruins of the Moon. Wow, if this were an anime and not an action RPG, I’d watch the fuck out of this. The trailer totally takes me back to my years of spending too much money at Suncoast shops, bringing home DVDs for Voices of a Distant Star and Now and Then, Here and There.

Yuusha30 (Hero for 30sec) gameplay video.

I love this PSP title’s concept of condensed games, as demonstrated with this hurried RPG playthrough. I like the streamlined town experience, too; you can supposedly pick up bits of the game’s story from the lined up NPCs.

Yuusha30 (Hero for 30Sec) trailer.

You won’t see any gameplay clips in this video, but Marvelous makes up for it by providing mostly English text. The PSP game — a collection of connected 30-second minigames (top-down action, RTS, vertical shooter, side-scrolling action) — will release in Japan on March 30th, and in Europe at a later date. Hopefully, we’ll hear about a stateside release soon. ::eyes Atlus::

Marvelous countdown site will lead to Hero for 30sec

We’re finally about to find out what the mysterious PSP game Hero for 30Sec, listed on Rising Star Games’ 2009-2010 releases list, is. Wii Everyday notes that the latest Famitsu features coverage of something called “Yuusha 30” or “Hero 30”. There’s no scan yet, but the site reveals that the mysterious Marvelous countdown is for this game (and not, as some silly people assumed, a Marvelous-produced Zelda game).

Eric and I were just talking about this unknown game! I am ready to know what this damn thing is. Whatever it is, it’s already confirmed for PAL release! So that’s something, I guess.

“Taking place three years after the end of the first title, No More Heroes: Desperate Struggle sees hero Travis Touchdown embark on a mission of revenge following the murder of his best friend.”

The first details about NMH: DS’s storyline, taken from the Rising Star Games press release.

The press release promises improved graphics, a “much darker tone” (boo), and more going on in Santa Destroy.

Steal Princess, Discipline, more confirmed for Europe →

Rising Star Games announced that they’re going to localize pretty much everything Marvelous showed at TGS, including No More Heroes Desperate Struggle, Muramasa: the Demon Blade, and the weird WiiWare game Discipline.

But in the same press release, they also revealed plans to release surprise games like Climax’s Steal Princess, Luminous Arc 2, and some PSP game called Hero for 30Sec. I have no idea what that last title is, but it sounds totally great.

The full list of announced releases for 2009-2010:

  • No More Heroes Desperate Struggle (Wii)
  • Muramasa: The Demon Blade (Wii)
  • Valhalla Knights 2 (PSP)
  • Steal Princess (DS)
  • Luminous Arc 2 (DS)
  • Avalon Code (DS)
  • Rune Factory 2 (DS)
  • Discipline (WiiWare)
  • Hero for 30sec (PSP)
  • Valhalla Knights: Elder Saga (Wii)
  • Rune Factory Frontier (Wii)
  • Arc Rise Fantasia (Wii)
