Save on Fangamer stuff during 'Shipster sale' →

Planning to buy some swag from Fangamer in the near future? Fortuitously clutching some extra money in your non-mouse hand? Through tomorrow, the site is offering free shipping on everything, and coupon codes ranging from 5-20%, depending on how crazy your expenditure is.
It… might be time for you to buy one of those Cory Schmitz-designed Zelda shirts, or some Retro City Rampage stuff! Even if you’re not shopping, the sale page is worth checking out for artwork of famous game characters as stereotypical hipsters, by the reliably wonderful Ashley Davis.

Kunio, Jake Hunter deals at Aksys →

Aksys Games is having a pretty decent sale! Jake Hunter: Detective Chronicles is just $9.99, and the better, remade version, Jake Hunter: Memories of the Past, is $14.99.
Speaking of the chain-smoking detective, we recently discovered that an amazing Photoshop Eric made for a DS Fanboy feature on Jake Hunter in 2008 has taken on a life of its own and popped up at a number of places! The GIF Aksys made for this sale (see above) is also pretty good.
You can also get the new Kunio sports games, River City Soccer Hooligans and River City Super Sports Challenge, for $15 each. Also notable: Deathsmiles standard edition for $20, and the limited edition (with a bunch of extra junk) for $30. And shipping from Aksys is free.

Save on zines and art during Attract Mode's Cyber Monday sale →

I’m sure both you and your wallet are experiencing severe fatigue right now due to a long weekend (and week, even) of sale announcements. So here’s another one! There’s no way I can pass up alerting you to the first Cyber Monday sale — first sale of any kind, in fact — at Attract Mode. Here’s what’s available (still no e-boning):
You can put that $5 you saved on (Cory Schmitz’s) EXP toward the new issue of (Mathew Kumar’s) exp., which is nothing like the former zine but is amazing in its own way.
exp. Issue Minus/Infinity is available now. For a sort of preview, you can download an abbreviated PDF version of the issue, though a print copy is definitely worth buying!

Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo tote bag, one of many recently discounted items from Capcom’s Spring Blowout. There are a few more good deals on odd promotional items, including more Puzzle Fighter bags, but this one is, well, really cheap at $7.49. I have no use for this kind of tote bag, however, which is why I’m drawing everyone’s attention to it and not just buying it.

Dude, you're getting a white DSi for $129 →

Want a DSi for the cost of a DS Lite? Of course you do. Dell, eternal refuge for people who don’t like paying regular price for consoles, is offering the DSi for $129, $40.99 off the usual price. That’s a savings of one Square Enix DS game!
The only downside? It’s white instead of the correct blue color. But that’s a minor issue! Of course, considering that Dell discounted the black version a few months ago, you could always live dangerously and hold out for your favorite color.

Rising Stuff's Christmas sale →

If our constant linking of retro nonsense has you wanting to pick up some vintage Japanese games of your own, now would be a rad time to do it. Rising Stuff, a retailer through which we might sort of? be unofficially affiliated with in some way through 4cr (I don’t really know), just announced its Christmas sale!
The sale includes a few unfuckingbelievable bundles, like a Twin Famicom and a pile of great games for $130 or a Wonderswan bundle for $16.10. But the really rad part is that everything else in the store is 30% off! Including the pile of Famicom games I spent too long picking out last night.

PC Engine sale at Rising Stuff →
Eric linked me to this ten-day sale on PC Engine hardware and software at fellow 4cr affiliate Rising Stuff, and I basically freaked out. You can get a Duo system for $129, or, if that’s too pretty for you, a “briefcase unit” for $145, consisting of a PC Engine, a CD-ROM drive, and the ridiculous “interface unit” that connects them. There’s even a PC-FX if you want one for whatever reason!
The sale is limited to items in stock (apparently as few as one of some of the items) and ends April 13. I quickly checked eBay for Duos and the price seems quite good, but you should probably do your own research before you listen to me and blow a bunch of cash!

A bunch of interesting DS price drops I found while poking around GameStop’s website. Some nice deals, as if we aren’t all already overloaded with planned DS purchases!

Famicom + five games for $49 →

Since we’re already talking about game sales (and since we’re in a shopping mood, what with Black Friday madness sweeping the internet), we thought it prudent to mention Rising Stuff’s Christmas Special — a Famicom system with five random games for only $49!
I’m not familiar with traditional Famicom pricing, so I consulted JC to see if this is a bargain, and he replied, “That’s a huuuuuuuuge deal, even if it’s just five copies of Bases Loaded.” I wonder if the plastic on the consoles will be as yellowed as the image above.
If you already have a Famicom, or if you’re looking for more games to throw in with this sale, check out Rising Stuff’s other deal: Ten Famicom games for $25.
I would jump on this, but I’m going to see if I can convince my wife to buy me a Sharp Twin Famicom for Christmas.
Update: Now out of stock! Great job buying them all!
