Sekai no Nabeatsu OMORO Calculator. I seem to be running into a lot of weird Japanese iPhone apps recently!

This one, developed by Jake Hunter’s Workjam, is a calculator featuring the “talents” of Japanese comedian and tool Sekai no Nabeatsu, whom we’ve featured before for his WarioWare DIY ads.

Unsurprisingly, the calculator imitates the standalone Sekai no Nabeatsu calculator toy: it speaks the numbers in Nabeatsu’s voice, with wacky outbursts for multiples of three. Apparently, the calculator also speaks English and Swahili! The app also includes wallpapers that switch out monthly. “Everybody just think it’s so funny and comical calculator!”

If you’d like to spend two dollars to experience the dapper, oddly fascinating one-note comedian’s one note, you can find the app here.

“Get Wild” remixed in Made in Ore.

To make up for that awful Made in Ore clip I recently posted, I’ll share this video of the game’s music player. Have any of you imported this WarioWare/DIYware release? I’m curious to hear if its music editor is comparable to Mario Paint’s music composing tools.

Anyway, check out this wacky store ad from comedian/spokesman Sekai no Nabeatsu. What a tool.

Made in Ore video, recorded from the Nintendo Channel by Nintendaan. This clip features comedian Sekai no Nabeatsu presenting a game he made himself to strangers. As it turns out, ladies love cool Nabeatsu.

I like Nabeatsu’s sample minigame, which presents a flower and a pig on the screen, and gives the player the usual brief WarioWare time limit to touch “hana” with the stylus. The Japanese words for “flower” and “nose” are both pronounced hana, which is just tricky enough that players may not figure it out in five seconds.

Yeah, I know he probably didn’t make it himself, but it’s still a pretty neat example of the kind of homemade WarioWare this game can generate.

Made in Ore commercials. The spastic dude with the wall of hair is comedian “Sekai no Nabeatsu,” whose bit is that he counts aloud and acts silly at multiples of 3 and numbers containing 3, as well as sometimes barking at 5s. Yep. There’s even a Nabeatsu calculator!

In the second commercial, Nabeatsu completes work on a game in which you click on a speech bubble when an in-game version of the comedian says the number ‘3’. If that’s not a demonstration of the customizable nature of Made in Ore, I don’t know what is!

Here’s a video that outlines some of the creation features of the game, without the help of any one-note comics:
