Tiny Cartridge 3DS

"Mr McCloud’s Son" by Andrew ‘Angimoto’ Douglas
It’s worth the ten minutes it will take you to page through Angimoto’s comics — there’s so much great stuff (my favorite being this "President Evil" one).

Lego Star Fox by Wes Talbott. Great follow-up to his similar Lego treatment for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time a few months back.
Everybody’s jettin’ out of there so fast, no one noticed Slippy Toad behind them, getting blasted. They might find his cap and blocky legs floating with all the other debris later.

Chibi Heroes, a cute offshoot of those Ukiyo-e Heroes — Japanese-style woodblock prints of popular games — you’ve likely seen around Tumblr and other game blogs.

Mario, Link, and a Star Fox Arwing battle an amalgamation of their arch-enemies… In space! This illustration comes from Mitch Loidolt, and will be displayed and sold as a limited edition print at PAX’s Fangamer vs. Attract Mode show/party this Saturday night.

Star Fox 64 and Steel Diver figurines, part of the Nintendo Mechanical Kit Collection of (I think) capsule toys.
For ¥300 yen ($4) a piece, Japanese consumers will be able to get miniatures of the Arwing, Landmaster tank, and the Blue Marine submarine, along with… man, I don’t know, I didn’t play Steel Diver long enough to learn the names of the subs.
These will be sold in Japan starting in May. I’d be way surprised if these didn’t show up for import pre-order soon. Then you can have your own tiny little vehicles, which you can imagine are full of the teensiest furries, all squeaking out adorable, barely-audible catchphrases.

Star Fighter shirt by Hector Mansilla Gonzalez (click for larger images), now for sale at Fangamer for $22.

Inspired by the Star Fox games, this design is meant to be “a tribute to the lasers, polygons, and Nova Bombs that lit every kid’s imagination.” Each order you put in for the tee will come with a 1” Nova Bomb pin that “you may want to save … for just the right moment”.

Title screens for all the Star Fox games (this looks much cooler on the actual site/Tumblr dashboard), not counting the chic LCD Game Watch that I wish I owned.

Star Fox 64 3D is out today (and so is the Flame Red 3DS) — which is weird, I know, because it’s a Friday and not the typical Sunday/Tuesday release we’ve come to expect.

But believe me, if you walk into GameStop today, you will be able to pick up a copy of Star Fox 64 3D, and the clerk will likely make the common joke about doing a barrel roll. You will both laugh, maybe genuinely, maybe because you feel it’s what he or she expects from you.

As you drive home, Third Eye Blind’s "How It’s Going To Be" will come on the radio, and you’ll look over at the passenger seat, empty except for the plastic bag holding your copy of Star Fox 64 3D and its receipt, and you’ll wonder where the years went, and why it feels so much like autumn, even though summer still hasn’t left.

Trash talking Star Fox 64 3D commercial. If you’d rather watch a multiplayer Star Fox 64 3D video without these guys — maybe you feel sorry for the ginger that everyone’s making fun of — Nintendo just put up a trailer showing off the new four-player, local-only versus mode.

And! If you connect to eShop with your 3DS, you can hit the new Star Fox 64 3D category to watch the Battle Mode clip and other videos with the stereoscopic 3D effect.

New Star Fox 64 3D focuses on the Landmaster and Blue-Marine — the alternate vehicles you’ll be piloting for special missions in the Nintendo 3DS remake. I think in this video more than in the others released so far, you can really see the updated visuals. Maybe because these clips don’t take place in the abyss of outer space?

Unfortunately, like the Nintendogs + Cats and Ocarina of Time 3D covers, this will likely be a Japan-only thing.
