The Legend of Zelda 25th Anniversary t-shirt by The King of Games, printed on either forest green or black, using “pearl/metallic grey” ink for the shield design and gold for the Triforce.
According to the t-shirt company, this design will only be printed once, and will only be available for pre-order from December 24 through February 20, worldwide. There’s no price yet, but it’ll likely be around ¥5,000 ($64).
The KOG site also offers this cool factoid about the Famicom-style shipping boxes they use: “KOG customers know that every shirt or parka comes packaged in a cool box, but did you know that the boxes are printed at the actual factory used to print Famicom boxes in the 80’s and 90’s?”

These guys got pretty lucky that the Ambassador Program thing happened this month; how unlikely is it that Wrecking Crew would suddenly be relevant just as this t-shirt was coming out? It’s a miracle.

…By which I mean the Arkanoid shirt has the attract mode text, which is the best thing about that game, on the back. They sell for ¥5,145 ($67) each, and are currently only available through the Japanese shop.

Both shirts feature cross-stitched sprites, the Ice Hockey shirt with a line of players and the Ice Climber shirt with Popo emerging from the front pocket. Those are nice details for, you know, deluxe The King of Games prices.
Does anyone have any nostalgia for Ice Hockey? I’m not even actually sure I’ve ever played it!

If there’s ever been a t-shirt I’d consider paying $64 on, it’s that Legend of Kage design. Check out that dope situation! Kage all reading his scroll, ninjas all dropping out of the sky against a giant moon.

Packaging for Super Mario Collection (Japanese re-release of Mario All-Stars), and a new King of Games shirt commemorating the plumber’s 25th anniversary.
Club Nintendo is giving away the limited edition shirt and several other themed items (tote bags, playing cards) in a drawing — all you need to do to enter is buy a Mario game for the DS or Wii in Japan.
This is all part of a new 25th Anniversary campaign Nintendo announced tonight along with the launch of a special Japanese website for the promotion. Definitely check out the videos; I’ll be sure to share the wayyy neat commercial here as soon as it shows up on Youtube.
There’s also an Iwata Asks-style interview between Mario’s father Shigeru Miyamoto and Mother’s, um, mother Shigesato Itoi. It’s a shame JC isn’t around to help me translate some bits from the Q&A. Itoi is like the coolest Asian guy ever. I hope I’m half as awesome as him when I’m in my 60s — or 30s even.

The latest shirts from the Nintendo-licensed company feature references to Dr. Mario’s music and the phrase “Dr. Stop!” spelled out in capsules and viruses, and Clu Clu Land coins arranged in iconic shapes. I love them. They’re ¥5,500 ($63) each…
Also included is a picture of industry legend, Dr. Mario composer, and swingset enthusiast Hirokazu “Hip” Tanaka modeling a Dr. Mario shirt with the utmost dignity.

These tees commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Super Famicom’s release in Japan, which is coming up this November! The shop taking preorders for the shirts right now, pricing each one at ¥5,500 ($62) before shipping.
While we’re on the topic of throwback tees, Club Nintendo in Japan added some fresh designs for its loyal customers/members. Ever the pessimist, I don’t expect Club Nintendo to offer the shirts in other regions — and if they do, it’s unlikely they will have as many artwork options or the interchangeable colors/elements.

The t-shirt company is celebrating 8 years of 8-bit shirts with this event, showcasing all the designs it’s made, many of which were officially licensed by Nintendo. The event is also decorated with vintage Nintendo stuff!
If you happen to be in Tokyo (I sure don’t), the exhibition runs through June 6 at Shibuya Parco Part 1, on the sixth floor.
