I want there to be more FMV games on handhelds. Whenever I play iPhone Space Ace, I feel like I’m in some fantastic future.

Seriously, 90% of the footage in any FMV game has to be these clips of your character failing in unique and interesting ways. Like by having a monster tear your pants off. Yeah, I don’t know.

And by “nobody noticed” I mean “I didn’t notice.” I’m fairly ashamed that I wrote about Castle of Shikigami III a bunch of times and I never learned that one of the selectable characters, Reika Kirishima, was the protagonist of the arcade FMV game Time Gal. There was no way for me to know this.
I learned this interesting tidbit from Todd Ciolek’s great GameSetWatch article about Time Gal. And now I’m off to check prices on Shikigami III!
