I don’t think such a person exists, yet First Press is selling plushes of the player 2 Bubble Bobble character separately from the more well-known Bub. Nothing against Bob, and in fact I prefer the blue color, but I feel like Bob has yet to achieve Luigi-level breakout status.
Both are also being sold as pricier, more “limited” versions that play Bubble Bobble sounds.

I didn’t realize that my amblyopia was a long game to get myself a plush glasses holding Chocobo, but it turns out that I’m a total genius. Now I have as good a reason as possible to buy one of these from NCSX.

Me, about ten minutes ago: “I don’t actually need anything. It feels so good to divest myself of all the possessions that weigh me down. I’m a minimalist now.”
Me just now: “I should buy these Kiryu and Majima figurines. They’re only $20 each.”

Hey, I haven’t played the game yet because I’m the worst, but it looks great. And it’s already getting some merchandise, starting with this figure by Esc-Toy. It’ll include a Steam code for the game when it ships in Q2 of next year.

I’ve posted about a couple of the Fangamer Black Friday announcements already, but the Katamari Damacy and Bomberman collections might be the most noteworthy yet, featuring such standout items as a plush Bomberman with magnetic eyebrows and bomb, designed by Leigh Davis, and a Katamari Damacy duffel bag. Good shirts too!
I think… a surprising number of problems in my life would be solved by a Paul Robertson-designed Katamari Damacy poster. (Disclosure: Fangamer is a longtime Club Tiny supporter!)

Here it is, the most thrilling frozen-in-time moment from Mega Man 11: an old man crying at a robot.
Can confirm, does grovel. pic.twitter.com/WMhPd3cfiL

This is really remarkable. It’s available at GameStop for $40.

While companies like Amazon and Google work on building AI that can understand increasingly complex human conversation, Takara Tomy made a better robot, that doesn’t need to understand anything and can respond to every request with a single word.
Nee Hello Pika actually does seem to understand a bunch of inputs and has a variety of “Pikas” and “Pika pikas” and whatnot in response. It’s out in August and is my best friend. If you’re reading this and you thought you were my best friend… look, I can have multiple best friends. I have a lot of love in my heart for both people and toy pretend mouse monster robots.

The S.H. Figuarts toy of Shinya Arino includes multiple different faces – most of them expressing suffering of some kind, appropriate for Arino’s lot as the guy locked into old video games in a crummy office.
He’s surprisingly well articulated – the many joints of this figure suit a superhero type character more than a “despair in a chair” character. It’ll ship in December, but I haven’t found import preorders yet. Via @sasuraiger.

She’s got articulated feet!
I’ve been scanning the list of Wonder Festival announcements here for a while, feeling a rush of excitement when I actually recognize a character, and this one is my favorite of the batch, I think.
Although the Puyo Puyo phone decoration capsule toys are pretty wonderful.

Takara Tomy is celebrating Kirby’s 25th anniversary, with these things! Called “Shakureru Kirby” after the term for an underbite or protuberant chin, each of these definitely real objects sculpted by people and then mass-produced by even more people costs 300 yen.
PREORDER Kirby (Switch)
You have a choice when ordering this from First 4 Figures: would you like an enormous $700 Bowser that lights up to look like it’s blowing fire? Or an enormous $700 Bowser sans flames? Bowse it your way.

It’s not even the White Sword! The clunky thing you get at the beginning of the game. This is definitely one of the dorkiest things I’ve seen on Thinkgeek, and I’m way into it.
