Mega Drive Megatron ⊟
He’s Megatron, and he’s a Mega Drive.
Mega Drive Megatron.
Thanks to @feitclub (and other awed toy/game fans) for pointing this out! We don’t have release details yet, so now we all have to go on with our lives knowing that this exists and we can’t have it. Do you feel that new Mega Drive Megatron-shaped void opening up in your heart?
[Update: Game Watch mentions that the figure will release in Japan this summer. Thanks for the link, Eduardo!]

Wind Waker Link and more new toys from Wonder Festival ⊟
The Wonder Festival 2014 Winter is going on right now, and it’s not all completely unobtainable garage kits. No, there are previews of things you’ll be able to actually buy! And then get out of the package, put on the shelf, and think “man what am I going to do with this.”
Some gamey things being shown off (thanks to the people whose Tweets I aggregated to find this stuff!) include Solid Snake, Toon Link, and previews of upcoming Figma Zero Suit Samus, A Link Between Worlds Link, and Cordelia (!). Do people like Cordelia that much? I mean, she’s all right, but definitely not in my top… whatever number of Fire Emblem: Awakening characters it takes for me to start forgetting about Fire Emblem characters.
Even more Animal Crossing plushes ⊟
We’re getting deep into the catalog now, with J-List’s newest-est offerings, including Brewster the pigeon barista, Timmy/Tommy (represented here by a single doll), Cyrus, and regular-ass villagers Bunnie and Fauna!
DJ KK plush and more Animal Crossing toys ⊟
Oh no, there’s too much cute Animal Crossing stuff up on J-List now, including this absolutely essential plush DJ KK with turntables. And an Isabelle that smiles? Completely unfair. All the plushes are $22 each, with the exception of KK, who is $24.
And in non-plush Animal Crossing toys, J-List also has these two wonderful stamp sets, with a bunch of Animal Crossing characters and items that are also rubber stamps, and can be stored inside these little houses. Swoon.
Remote Controlled Pokemon ⊟
Spend your time away from Pokemon XY training with these “Pokecon” remote controlled figures. Piplup and Eevee can engage in intense battles (by which I mean slowly walk into each other) under the control of true Pokemon Masters.
They’re $20 each on J-List.

Cute Animal Crossing items to squee about ⊟
NCSX is taking preorders for two great collections of Animal Crossing: New Leaf items that I wish were in my house. The “Girls Goods” set has a Lisa key cover (omg), a mirror pendant, an Able Sisters notepad, a Re-tail notepad, an Isabelle “accessory stand,” stickers in a bottle, and Lisa/Isabelle stamps (!!) The whole set ships in January for $26.90. The Ouchi to Okagu Collection is a set of tiny houses with wallpaper and floor patterns!, along with furniture and figurines for $28.90. Sigh.
Just some Monster Hunter toys that transform into kanji, nbd ⊟
Each of these Monster Hunter monsters transforms into a kanji set that describes them – like “black eclipse dragon” for Goa Magara. They’re part of Bandai’s “Mojibakeru” line of toys, which are creatures that transform into descriptive characters. I kind of love them!
And J-List has the Monhun set up for pre-order, for $22.
More Animal Crossing plushes ⊟
I know, Porter? Who thinks about Porter enough to want to buy a doll? Come at me, Porter Defense Force.
Dannnnggggg. That’s a lot classier than the Tharja figure, for sure.
Link, Luigi Nendoroid figures coming
Artwork for these two new figures appeared at Japan’s Wonder Festival Summer (via @charmwitch). I’m going to assume these are coming this year, what with the Year of Luigi and all.

New Super Mario Bros. U toys let you shoot a goomba
I love these little Mario sets. One lets you shoot a little fireball at a little goomba, and the other has a jumping Mario that hits a block, both with appropriate sound effects. And you can set them up together to create a bigger scene with an apparently time-traveling Mario and his double. The Fire Mario and 10 Coin Block sets are each $9.50 from J-List.
Speaking of NSMBU, something occurred to me the other day. Because of the Wii U’s poor hardware sales, NSMBU is going to end up being one of the least played Mario games, despite being the best side-scrolling Mario in years. Kinda sad!
Animal Crossing’s Isabelle in Nendoroid form
She comes with a question mark accessory. Her hair has a real bell in it. This is just unfair. Good Smile Company’s Nendoroid Isabelle/Shizue perfectly replicates the Animal Crossing: New Leaf assistant, allowing you to relive your first days in Buttocks.
The figurine ships in October, and you can find it at whatever your favorite import toy retailer is. Jlist has preorders up for $42.
