The Kickstarter for Mercenary Kings, the amazing-looking run-and-gun by Tribute Games, ended at $116,064, exceeding the $75,000 goal. As a successfully funded project, Tribute Games will now actually make the game, which is good news.
At the current funding level, Tribute plans to implement these features:
The team still plans to implement the stuff from the other milestones (like, I hope, a console version!) using revenue from sales of the released game.

Mercenary Kings art and animation, by Stéphane Boutin and Paul Robertson, respectively. These rad images were posted on the Kickstarter page yesterday, as the funding drive crossed 50% of its goal!
And Tribute Games has several important “stretch goals” past the completion of the main goal, like making me a console version. You can make it happen, with money!

Tribute Games is raising money to create its rad-looking, Metal Slug-esque shooter Mercenary Kings for PC, with a Kickstarter drive that started today.
For your donation, you can get a copy of the game plus Wizorb, a digital art book, exclusive in-game items, a t-shirt, a hoodie designed by Bryan Lee O’Malley (Scott Pilgrim), or even the chance to appear in the game or design a weapon. Oh, and the game gets expanded with console versions, extra content, and online multiplayer.
If you want to contribute, you have until September 13. If you back it, and you have a chance to leave a comment or something, tell them Tiny sent you!

Tribute Games’ wonderful Breakout/RPG hybrid Wizorb is now available for iPhones and iPads, which means so is our mascot Tiny, who makes a cameo in the game.
I can’t believe how many platforms Tiny has now appeared on because of Wizorb — Xbox Live Indie Games, Windows/Mac, PlayStation Network, and now iPhones!
It’s a fantastic game that combines brick breaking with a fantasy RPG. And it has a charming retro look from Paul Robertson, maker of rad pixelart and animations.
