Become a cute zombie through Twitter →

I don’t know if it’s a good idea to promote the annoying of friends via Twitter, but… Chunsoft has a cute little Flash app on its Zombie Daisuki site to turn your Twitter (or mixi) ID into a zombie. You can then turn up to three of your friends into zombies every day.

And then… I don’t know. Your little zombie wanders around on the page. There’s going to be some kind of commemorative picture if the total number of zombies reaches 10,000, and that would be kind of neat to be part of. At the very least, you get to enjoy the cute Zombie Daisuki characters.

“Guess what’ll be available November 29th on DSiWare?!?”

Nicalis’ teases the release date for a certain DSiWare game — most likely Cave Story! Oh, how they all laughed when you bought a Nintendo DSi to play downloadable games. Who’s laughing now? Hahahahaha.

Oh wait, I have an imported system, so I can’t download it. At least I have Tangrams With Cats In Them. :o(

Buy: Special Edition Red Nintendo DSi XL bundle, Nintendo DSi XL (Blue, Burgundy, & Bronze), and Standard Nintendo DSi (White, Pink, Black, & Blue)

Flipnote Studio frogs pose on a DSi, photographed by Hatena’s Aaron Berman (click for a large version).

Did you know Hatena has several online services, not just Flipnote Hatena? In addition to its Youtube-like site for posting Flipnote Studio animations, the Japanese company also has Haiku, Diary, Bookmark, and Fotolife — which are pretty much their equivalents of Twitter, Blogger, Delicious, and Flickr, respectively.

When I last checked, most of those were only available in Japanese, but it looks like Hatena Haiku is now open to English users. Unfortunately, it seems as if the only people who’ve noticed this and taken advantage of the site are Flipnote’s adolescent users.

Something else you likely didn’t know: the Flipnote Hatena team has a Twitter account! You should follow them, not only to keep track of their weekly newsletters, but also because it’s sad that such a great and innovative site has only a hundred or so followers. You should add us on Twitter, too, if you haven’t yet.

Oh, and here’s a great music video someone posted after animating the entire production in Flipnote.

Buy: Nintendo DSi XL (Burgundy and Bronze), Standard Nintendo DSi (White, Pink, Black and Blue)

Mega Man 10 Twitter icons. Capcom put these icons (and more) and some backgrounds on its site as Valentine’s Day presents. If you want adorable animated V-day icons on your Twitter account, go now! The offer only stands until February 26.

No Sheep Man, unfortunately.

Bomberman on DSiWare would be pretty cool; any suggestions on features for something like that?”

— Hudson soliciting Bomberman ideas on Twitter.

I’m sure the first Bomberman DSiWare game will lack a lot of features, perhaps even online support, just like the series’ DS debut in 2006. I hope this release brings back the kangaroos/dinosaurs. Not bloody likely, though!

In related news, Hudson announced a new DSiWare title for Japan, Himitsu no Ooku, a female-targeted dating sim with 10 different guys to pursue, due August for 800 Points.

Buy: U.S. Matte Black and Blue DSi

Import: Japanese Nintendo DSi (Red, White, Black, Pink, Lime Green, Metallic Blue)

“Gentlemanly Discussion” by Jesse Harjunen.

My mind has been on Professor Layton a lot lately due to two current Twitter debates about the Englishman:

  1. Is the Professor’s Twitter feed officially sanctioned by Nintendo of America? If so, what’s the deal with the “Grand Smash Brothers Tournament” jokes?
  2. Is Mr. Layton the top or the bottom in his pederastic relationship with Luke?

While I’m still not certain on the first question, I believe the answer to the latter query is obvious.

“Pacman” by Scott Hampson.

In case you forgot, we have a Twitter feed of our own! I promise that it is only half as sad and uninteresting as most other Twitter feeds. And by half, I mean two times.

I knew that bringing Tiny Cartridge to Twitter would only lead to disappointment and heartbreak, not the immortal fame and unfathomable riches JC promised when he pitched this social networking opportunity to me.

I’ll probably announce the winners of our recent Atlus giveaway via Twitter (revealing them on the site at a later date), so make sure to follow us. Apparently, it’s the spot to totally burn us online for everyone in the world to see.

The Tiny Cartridge Bailout Plan →

While we like to think that our readers come here to read our exceptional Nintendo DS coverage, we’re sharp enough to know the real reason why you visit Tiny Cartridge — the current global financial crisis.

With budgets tightening and unemployment on the rise, you don’t have the money or the time to read long blocks of text and contemplate critical gaming viewpoints. That’s why we make a point to present meager posts and easily dismissed opinions. We do it because of the economy.

Here at Tiny Cartridge, we are in a unique position to provide handheld gaming news you can afford, a frugal alternative to broader sites like our rivals Huge Cartridge or even Medium-Sized Cartridge.

Which is why we’ve debuted Tiny Cartridge Twitter, a new, cost-effective solution for your reading-Tiny-Cartridge needs. You’ll no longer have to read whole posts to find out if we’re wankers — you can read a terse summary and find out that we’re wankers near instantaenously.

The Twitter feed also features links to notable game deals and tiresome details from our mundane lives. We went ahead and tucked a super secret announcement there, too. Aren’t you excited to see what it could be?

So, readers, join us with this Tiny Cartridge Twitter feed and help us get the U.S. economy back on track.
