UT X Pokemon Game shirts by UNIQLO. It would be pretty hard to get me to wear a Pokemon shirt, given that I’m not a hardcore Pokefan and I’m also a grown person who has to interact with other grown people on occasion, but UNIQLO has delivered some designs that I would actually wear.
These shirts are clever and nice-looking, combining in-game pixel art with cute riffs on Pokemon tropes. They seem a lot more fun than most of the UT X Japan Game lineup.
There are also some Heart Gold/Soul Silver shirts on the website, but they aren’t really that interesting.

More new UNIQLO UT x Japan Game shirts were revealed today, including a very basic Mega Man (though the pink version is pretty great) and a Monster Hunter 3 design.
In addition, there are some designs from previous weeks that I’d missed, which means that, if you rely on TC for UNIQLO shirt news, you probably missed them too. I’m basically in love with this Momotaro Densetsu shirt:

The rest of the UNIQLO UT x Japan Game line has been unveiled! I’m only going to show a few, but this is by far the best update of the bunch. That Makaimura/Ghosts & Goblins shirt is unbelievable, reimagining Capcom’s brutal game as a metal album cover. And that Parappa shirt has Parappa on it, and is thus wonderful.

The new Bomberman shirt is a bit busy, but still really interesting because of the repeating bomb grid pattern. The Family Tennis shirt is just really cute.
Unfortunately, the game stuff doesn’t seem to be available at the NYC UNIQLO store, so I can’t ask New Yorkian readers to pick stuff up for me, and I’m forced into financial responsibility.

New UNIQLO UTxJapan Game shirts, based on Rally-X and the Ace Attorney series. Check the site for color variations of both, as well as a sweater based on Densha de GO! They’re pretty basic, but I like these — especially the 3D effect on the white OBJECTION!! shirt. And congratulations to Namco and UNIQLO on making something related to Rally-X that isn’t awful.

They’re, uh, pretty boring. The Mappy shirt here is my favorite of the bunch, not just because it’s a nice design, but because somebody printed a shirt based on Mappy.
On April 6, another set of shirts will be revealed, based on Rally-X, Gyakuten Saiban, and Densha de GO! I may beg New York-based readers for a Gyakuten shirt, provided they show up at the NY UNIQLO store. And provided the shirt isn’t lame.

Puyo Puyo shirt. These “Puyolicious” shirts are being produced in pink and black by UNIQLO’s “UTxJapan Game” line to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the series. Sega’s giving 24 of them away on their website — I totally entered, but it’s probably open only to people in Japan. I think UNIQLO stores and the online shop will sell these shirts in April.
It wouldn’t be fun to explain “Puyolicious” to people all day, but I rarely leave the house, so I can wear whatever I want.
