Golgo 13 Top Secret Episode’s theme. I’m not sure what it is about this NES game that I find so fascinating. It’s not the best game, but it’s a very ambitious game that includes a bunch of different gameplay (all pretty unpolished) and more story than a lot of NES action games.

Honestly, I think the weird elongated sprites are a big part of the appeal for me. And, of course, the music.

Terra Cresta “promo cartridge.” I have no idea if this is legitimately what the seller says it is, or if it’s a recently-created item, but I really don’t care, because

  1. The current bid is just $4.99, and
  2. This thing looks awesome.

If you were to put a NES cartridge on a photocopier and somehow copy the whole thing, it would look like this. If it actually plays Terra Cresta, bonus! If it is actually a vintage promotional copy, even better.
