The “Mega Man Urban Vinyl Collection” by Jazwares. Sure, it might be an imitation of the vinyl “art toy” thing that I don’t really understand, but the result is these adorable figures, which probably won’t be like $80 each.
Much less mass-produced, and on the opposite end of the abstract-to-realistic spectrum, more overly detail-rich GI Joe-style Mega Man figures by Jin Saotome. Check out that Guts Man! Check out that Guts Man.

Custom Bubble Bobble figurine by Okkle. It took very little to turn this vinyl figurine into a perfect representation of Bubblun regurgitating/enbubbulating a Beluga. This particular item has been sold (for a painful £85) but the source figure is still available — and, as always, just appreciating it on the internet is free.
I’m glad I have managed to avoid getting into designer toys so far. Whenever I see them online, I have dreamy visions of colorful shelves loaded with cute, artsy creations. I know if I bought one, it would be easier for me to just keep buying and building a collection — and these things are ridiculously expensive.
