Here’s a nice wallpaper for the 3DS eShop game HarmoKnight, one of a few (plus icons) available from the game’s official website.
For a downloadable handheld rhythm game, HarmoKnight has some absolutely bonkers production values, likely thanks to developer Game Freak’s Scrooge McDuck-style vaults of Pokemon money.
This is out on the eShop in North America today, as you very likely know.
BUY Nintendo 3DS and 3DS XL consoles, upcoming games
That flying ship is a lot smaller than I expected, what with the surplus of Red Horned Ox I tend to collect while sailing through the game’s overworld.
This piece comes from Alexandra Douglass — you can download the non-cropped desktop background and read an interview about the artist’s contributions to the U.S. release at the official EOIV blog.
BUY Etrian Odyssey IV, other upcoming games
You can get these in an overwhelming variety of sizes at the official site, along with the now-standard Twitter icons.
I imagine a lot of people are in the same spot I am when it comes to SMT: I finally picked up Persona 4 (Golden), it changed my life, and now I’m desperate to take a crash course through the SMT series before the eventual, unannounced US release of this game. This is complicated by the fact that I’ve also just discovered and fallen for Fire Emblem, plus the usual basic time concerns that keep me from shotgunning multiple RPGs.

If you’ve ever wanted the smiling face of Nintendo’s president and CEO as your desktop background, we are making that dream of yours a reality today. Here are a couple wallpapers for Animal Crossing: New Leaf’s Brewster and Shizue, too, all courtesy of Liblu.
While we’re featuring one executive, did you see this Christmas message by Nintendo of Europe president Satoru Shibata? It is so frickin’ adorable. I wish our Nintendo Directs were as charming as Europe’s presentations.

“Mario Items” by Scott Balmer. You can download this pleasant illustration as a background for your PC, tablet, or mobile device here — you can even get a set of icons based on the power-ups, enemies, and items, too.

Rhythm Heaven Fever wallpaper, one of a selection of great desktops at the official site (warning: sound!).
I’m almost certain some of our readers have an interest in Rhythm Heaven-type games, so I thought I’d point you to the review I wrote for Joystiq last week. You should also check out Mike Schramm’s gallery from last night’s Rhythm Heaven Fever/iam8bit launch party!
And while I’m pointing out rhythm game writeups at Joystiq, how about a preview of Rhythm Thief and the Emperor’s Treasure? I was really proud of how that turned out, and I just noticed it has all of three comments. Mannnnnn.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D wallpapers. The 3DS remake of this game turns out to be a boon for people who want official artwork from this game in resolutions higher than would have been released in 1998.
Also it’s a cool game and stuff.
All three are available in multiple resolutions on Nintendo of Japan’s official Zelda site.

Mega Man Legends 3 Project Reaverbot wallpaper. I’m still using the last wallpaper! This is downloadable from the Japanese Devroom site, in honor of more than 10,000 people signing up with the site.
On the subject of MML3, be sure to vote on a suit design if Mega Man’s suit design is important to you! And check out some test screens of an early version.

Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective autographed card. Capcom is randomly sending these to ten people in Japan who sign up for a random drawing. This is timed with the release of the iPhone/iPod Touch version over there, but I assume Capcom is grateful to people who bought it on DS too…
This stuff is kind of out of date, but it’s cute anyway: Capcom also posted a Ghost Trick New Year card and several Christmas-themed wallpapers. Even though it’s not Christmas, I totally want to see Missile the dog’s face on my screen every day!
