Similar to those wireless internet cards that connect your laptop online through mobile networks, Dokodemo Wi-Fi (Anywhere Wi-Fi) brings your DS and other handhelds online though Willcom’s PHS service in Japan.
I hardly play my DS online (and I’m not in Japan!) except for a Space Invaders Extreme versus match once in a while, but it seems like a neat device. That convenience of playing online anywhere is expensive, though, as you’ll pay ¥1,980 ($20) per month with a two year contract!

From GameCyte, quoting Nintendo CEO and president Satoru Iwata about the DSi’s WPA encryption:
“Though the new browser and those programs designed exclusively for the DSi will use a high level of security, existing DS software will use existing encryption.”
These images actually come from a recent roundtable session that Iwata held with Buffalo Technology, the company behind Nintendo’s WiFi USB connector and router.
