A Secret of Mana winter scene by Mikael “Orioto” Aguirre
You can see a much larger version of the artwork, download it as a wallpaper, or purchase it as a poster here.

An informal Steve Jobs memorial set up outside of an Apple Store in London, shot by Super Jezmeralda.
Two news items about 3DS photography:
- Nicolas M., one of the fellows behind the great GamOvr blog, set up a site called Threeds.me, where you can upload and share 3DS photos — he began working on it when 3D Porch was on the verge of shutting down. Nic admits that it’s a bit barebones at the moment, but he’s planning to add new features, and it’s got a neat adjustable focus tool.
- 3D Porch now allows you to add titles and captions to your photos, provided you’re signed in.

It was a close call, but it looks like 3D Porch, the site for uploading and sharing 3DS photos and wigglepics, won’t be closing after all. Site admin Phil Dhingra says he can reduce his hosting expenses to break even on the service (thanks to some suggestions and free hosting offers), and has turned the uploading feature back on. Yay!
On a related note, I was browsing photos at the site and kept seeing these ads for The Babe Dimension (SFW), a $1-a-month membership site that features “3D pictures of Hot Chicks streaming directly to your 3DS web browser.”
It’s all very silly and pervy, but the site claims to be raising cash to help save endangered pandas, though it’s not specific on how your money will accomplish that. Of course, this could all be a scam, and some Ukrainian mobsters might end up emptying your bank account, kidnapping you, and feeding you to ravenous pandas kept as pit fighters, so, uh, keep a look out for that.

3D Porch, probably the most popular site for people to upload and share their photos taken with a 3DS, will cease to exist as we know it, according to a letter posted last week by the service’s admin Phil Dhingra.
He explains, “I’ve come to the point where I can no longer afford the time or money to maintain 3D Porch. I’ve been running it at a financial loss ever since it started.” Dhingra says he’s tried to monetize the site in various ways, but none of those options worked, and that “3D Porch would have to be 5x more popular to break even, and 10x more popular to even give [him] a decent trickle of income.”
And so he’s turned off uploads, and intends to remove 99 percent of user photos in the coming weeks.
More video game art transformed into 3D and wigglepic’d by Orioto (click for larger versions; they might take a while to load). You can see these in their actual 3D forms via your Nintendo 3DS’s web browser at these links:

More 3D Mario art by Mikaël “Orioto” Aguirre. After seeing a favorable response to yesterday’s experiment on a certain influential blog, Orioto converted another of his digital Mario paintings to 3D, available either in wigglepic format or as a 3DS browser-friendly MPO here.
He then did the same for some of his Sonic artwork:
3D Sonic that looks cool! Miraculous!

"Foret en Fleur" by Mikaël "Orioto" Aguirre, made into an .MPO and wigglepic’d on 3D Porch. Orioto made a 3D version of his “impressionist” Super Mario World piece for viewing on 3DS browsers, as a “test.”
Being one of the most impressive, convincingly deep 3D images I’ve seen, I’m going to call it a successful test. You can look at the MPO yourself through that 3D Porch page with the Nintendo 3DS web browser, and a big version of Orioto’s original artwork here.

Beyond the Labyrinth wigglepic. Konami released three 3D screenshots of tri-Ace’s 3DS dungeon RPG yesterday — as we all suspected, those first, stunning images were a bit optimistic (read: not actual 3DS screens), and it’s looking more like something a 3DS could actually produce now. But it still looks really nice!
If you’d like to see the rest of the screens, they’re on the official site, where you can download them there. However, Inside-Games, 4Gamer, Dengeki, Famitsu, and GAME Watch each have an exclusive screenshot included with their ZIPs of the set. And if that sounds like too much work for you, you could always just load up this page in your 3DS’s built-in browser.
We still don’t really know anything about how this game plays, and most of these screens are just a girl looking at the camera, and therefore not really helpful in that regard. But you’ll totally get a good idea of what that girl looks like, and that’s … something!

Chill dog wigglepic’ing around at the Sears parking lot. No big deal, just hanging out in the back of this truck.
Two related items:
- I once brought up the idea of starting up a Tumblr devoted to wigglepic photos of cats taken with a 3DS to some people. That never happened, but at least someone created something similar: 3DSCats, a Twitter dedicated to cats with 3DSes.
- Did you know there’s a secret NSFW version of 3D Porch, the popular 3DS photo-sharing site, that is almost all hardcore and amateur 3D porn? I guess it’s not such a secret anymore!

Gabrielle’s Ghostly Groove screenshot, wigglepic’d. Santa Entertainment posted a bunch of MPO screenshots of its cute 3DS dancing game, which you can download and transfer to your 3DS, or just check out in the 3DS browser, here. Where else are you going to see a mummy bear dancing in 3D? Hopefully nowhere, for the sake of your safety.
If you’re totally into the adorable character designs in this game (like if you’re some weirdo who posts about it on this game blog), you can adorn your Twitter profile with some new icons and a background here, and find even more papercraft models here. You’d damn well better believe I’m going to make these! When I have time to do that!

Reggie Fils-Aime announcing 3DS games at E3 … in 3D. It’s like you’re there, in the red-wristband section of Nintendo’s E3 conference! For one moment frozen in time forever!
I would have taken more pictures, but I was actually there to take several hundred pictures (with a real camera) for Joystiq’s liveblog, which I would love to think that some of you were following. This was the first time since I’ve gone to E3 that I didn’t write the text for the liveblog — Griffin McElroy covered that admirably — but those pixxxx were all me.
