I love this PSP title’s concept of condensed games, as demonstrated with this hurried RPG playthrough. I like the streamlined town experience, too; you can supposedly pick up bits of the game’s story from the lined up NPCs.

You won’t see any gameplay clips in this video, but Marvelous makes up for it by providing mostly English text. The PSP game — a collection of connected 30-second minigames (top-down action, RTS, vertical shooter, side-scrolling action) — will release in Japan on March 30th, and in Europe at a later date. Hopefully, we’ll hear about a stateside release soon. ::eyes Atlus::

The countdown site for Marvelous’s Yuusha30 (English name Hero for 30Sec) has been replaced by an official site with some kind of Flash stuff going on. I can’t tell if it’s interactive or not, but it sure looks like it should be. It isn’t for me!
NeoGAF’s duckroll found some fairly revelatory info about the game: Yuusha30 is developed by doujin developer UUE, based on their freeware title of the same name. I have yet to try it yet, but if you’d like to get an idea of what the multi-mini-RPG will be like, you can download the previous, amateur version here. And check Famitsu for screens of the upcoming PSP game.

This is Yuusha30, the game announced by Rising Star Games as Hero for 30Sec. It’s an RPG microgame collection! It totally one-ups Kimino Yuusha’s thirty-minute quests with segments lasting just thirty seconds!
According to the GAF summary of the article, the game features four different kinds of segments: Hero30, a side-scrolling action game; Princess30, a vertical shooter; Knight30, a “top down action mode where you avoid traps”; and Archmage30, an RTS game about summoning monsters, starring the antagonist from the other three modes!
This sounds really awesome for people who love short games (like me!) Honestly, if I weren’t cripplingly terrified of being made suddenly jobless, I would so be buying a PSP about now.
Since Rising Star has announced this for Europe, it seems likely the US will get it as well, either through the Marvelous/XSEED partnership or Atlus, who is hooked on announcing new handheld games, and just announced a Marvelous game (Steal Princess)
