Tiny Cartridge 3DS

Fabulous Fangamer X Attract Mode prints on sale ⊟

Remember all those great pieces we featured from last summer’s Fangamer X Attract Mode show? They’re now available to purchase online over at the Attract Mode shop! Though some of the prints are made to order, if you place your order soon, you should still be able to get them in time for Christmas in case you want to give them out as presents.

The pieces you see above come from Zac Gorman, Kyle Fewell, and Mingjue Helen Chen. While you’re at the Attract Mode shop, why not also pick up our Tiny Cartridge X Mare Odomo sticker pack?

Wonderful Dragon Quest fanart by Zac Gorman
This will be featured at iam8bit’s gallery show opening tomorrow in Los Angeles! More than 80 artists have provided pieces for the exhibit, which is nuts.
Square Enix has put out a list detailing a portion of the games it will show at E3 next week, but the tally doesn’t include any of Wii U or 3DS’s Dragon Quest games — there’s not even a mention of Bravely Default, though that may be because Nintendo is publishing it in the U.S. I’ll be very disappointed if we don’t hear anything about Dragon Quest X, Dragon Quest Monsters: Terry’s Wonderland 3D, Slime MoriMori Dragon Quest 3, or Dragon Quest VII.

“Seafarer Combo” by Zac Gorman. The Magical Game Time artist offers his take on The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker (i.e. the best 3D one) in this collection of items produced by Fangamer.

You can buy them together for $47, or the shirt, poster, and pin set individually. I like these! They all offer an unusual interpretation of Zelda, by which I mean it’s not just a bunch of Triforces.

Playing GoldenEye 007 in a friend’s basement well into the night, illustrated by Zac Gorman. I spent so much of my teenage years living this scene — to think, the super addictive multiplayer mode was thrown in by the developer at the last minute.
This will be available as a print during PAX later this month, sold at the Fangamer versus Attract Mode show.

It is imperative that you join the Nintendo Fun Club, Mac. The joke of Mac fighting well above his weight class has been told numerous times in the past (sames goes for Nintendo Fun Club wisecracks), but Zac Gorman has a knack for making these things hilarious again.

"Take Care And Tempt Not The Fates", a Dragon Warrior animated comic by Zac Gorman (click for larger image).
How many times have I explored too far off course, only to stumble upon enemies my under-leveled character had no business making eye contact with, much less crossing swords with? It’s happened to me in so many Dragon Quests, Final Fantasies, and likely a dozen other RPGs.
Even in Guadia Quest, there were a couple of moments when I accidentally ran into GameGuadias unprepared, and had my entire party’s faces rocked off.

"And we never got tired. And we never got old. We just ran through the streets forever. And everything was perfect."
Nintendo comic maker Zac Gorman is selling 13”x19” prints of his moonstruck Earthbound comic, but he’s only making 50 signed and numbered copies ($30 each), so order one before this sells out in the next hour.
So, uh, did I mention my birthday is next week?
